No Problem!

Make sure they do it under warranty! If you read the bulletin they may charge you to change the rear end! It should be for free!

Figured it was just a matter of time before Nissan made it official on the 75W-140 synth for the 04's. I'm running that weight now (Mob1) in my rear diff, and have switched to 75W-90 Mob1 in the front. I figure the front doesn't see the same duty as the rear, so I didn't up the weight. Also running Mob1 ATF in the xfer case, and Mob1 5W-30 in the motor. Truck runs smoother and has better acceleration.

Now if Nissan would issue a bulletin stating they are replacing all the rear diff covers on the 04's with the nice finned aluminum ones on the 05's......I'd be even happier!

When in 4 x 4 mode and pulling heavy.......I would think the fron diffie works about the same as the rear diffie..........and that is why I switched to 75-140W in both a while ago.

Yeah, I thought about it, Tom, but I never tow anything so I'm not worried about it. Plus, just switching the front to 75W-90 synthetic should give me pretty good protection in the front since it doesn't break down as easily as standard gear oil.
