So what's the hot performance upgrade for the do-it-yourselfer?

What are the hot part? Banks or Gibson or JBA or Borla for exhaust? Volant or K&N for intake?

What's the secret "quick-trick", if any at all, to picking up a few ponies?

I have done a little searching and have some ideas but wouldn't mind hearing what you guys have to say. Thanks!

Paul

AEM Brute Force intake - should be out any day now, but they've been saying that for a couple weeks now.

So AEM is coming out with an intake for this truck? Will it be a CAI?

Actually it looks like it is out already...kinda pricey though.

http://trucks.aempower.com/product_intake_app.asp

The link also shows you the HP and torque gains for the Titan.

I dont see how the AEM would gain much over stock since it uses the stock intake tube. I would definately choose a proven CAI like the Volant (oh wait, I did).

I love the results of my Banks exhaust. Easy to install...took me little over an hour to install myself. Others were right about the drone...but I can live with it. Overall, gotta love the sound and power. Just my 2 pieces of copper.

AEM Brute force has the highest numbers (Albeit manufacturer claims) for the Titan for a non force induction. If it's true, then $350 bucks for 17.5 hp/25 lb/ft is not bad.

http://trucks.aempower.com/pdf/dyno/...itan%20BFS.pdf

It's still listed as pending.

The AEM unit does not use the stock intake tube. They are out, and have been so for more than a week. Mossy Performance had one left as of two days ago.

Not an exact picture, but very close:

Not shown is the powdercoated steel shroud that separates the filter element from the heat in the engine bay.

I have the AEM and it doesn't use the stock tube. You can view the thread here: http://www.clubtitan.org/postt1750.html

I do like the chrome tubing but do you need to have the top of the intake box open? i like the Volant box with the box saying "volant" and all.... the AEM doesnt come with a custom top, huh? Just for looks and all... can you even close the top?

Which K&N would go with the titan? anyone have pics of volant/k&n/aem installed intakes?
