Ordered mine from Mossey for $256 shipped. They were $279.00 but they price matched Hop-up-racing.

They should all make about the same HP. What it comes down to is preference. I can tell you that my intake (AEM) added more to my bottom end than my exhaust system. Don't pay any attention to the lower end of dyno graph with the AEM system.

Here's a quote from an AEM tech "The Titan dyno'ed had, of course, an automatic transmission. ATs can cause some problems at the begining of a dyno run. Before the run, the throttle is closed, as soon as the run starts, the throttle is punched and sometimes the torque converter slips or locks at the begining of the run. This causes inconsistencies in the begining of the dyno chart. That is what happened when the AEM intake was dyno'ed."

so review review Im going to get one anyway just to compare the two Ill order it tommorrow

and to the other guy I defintely received a low end boost with my volant. I got more out it than both my exhaust installs (which are more cosmetic than anyhting in m opinion)

the Volant works great to me, they had some design issure that have been fixed, and the customer service is awesome

so Id say yes try it out, I think youll be impressed

the only thing about the AEM that concerns me is that while it looks cool that metal will retain heat and dampen the cold air affect (basic heat transfer--whereas the voant is compostite plastic),

and the fact that the AEM is a open box like the K/N.

how thick is the oil on the AEM, as I know k/n had some serious filter issues with the oil type on the first one

that would be another concern of mine with the open box style??

opinions ????

---------------------------------------

okay wait I read your post over at clubtitan so the filter is the k/n filter just a different tube and box?? so is the oil the same??

Seems to me like the aluminum pipe would get hotter in the engine bay, and reduce the cold air effect. Not if it was ceramic coated, by Jet Hot, that would take care of that. My guess is to get it coated, it would cost about 60 bucks plus shipping. Then agian, ceramic coating an air inlet is big time over kill. But it would look almost as good as aluminum. Just a thought. 17hp out of an inlet seems pretty optomistic, but they have dyno sheets, so we'll see.

Question

Okay...so now I have a question. Pardon if it is stupid, but my knowledge of engines, intake and exhaust systems is very limited

If you take the Gibson Dual Sport Exhaust system which states that it will add 10-12 HP and additional ft./torque plue 2-4 MPG and then on top of that you add the AEM Forced Air Intake, which their numbers state an additional 17 HP and 1-2 MPG, adding the numbers together, does it mean:

20-29 additional HP
3-6 additional MPG

Is this correct or am I just that lost??? Please be kind

Thanks

All of the numbers are estimates because everyone's situation is different. You will notice a boost in HP and LET, how much you actually get is anyones guess.
