I just got the Pro Comp last week. I took it to the Baja 250 last weekend and it did awesome!!! I looked at all of the lifts, CST, Fabtech and Procomp. ProComp seems to have the best design and most options and is less expensive than the CST and you can get the Front coil overs.
The ride is better than stock. No freeway hop!!!! All this, and I don't even have the front coilovers on yet. They sent my front shocks in a Nissan box, but they were for a F-150
I would go Pro Comp or CST and avoid Fabtech. I had the Fabtech 7" lift on my F-150 and didn't care for it much. Alignment was so far out it wasn't even funny. The problem was the camber or caster (I can never remember which is which). The top of the tires "leaned" in. It looked like crap and rode like crap on the street and tore up tires.
another way to think of it because i think they are both the same/similar, prop comp has traction bars. not sure if this is compatible with the other lift brands. if you want the bars then get PC.
Hey guys, I just noticed that FourWheeler Magazine has finally started a "Project Titan." One of their first upgrades was installation of the Pro Comp 6 inch lift and 35 inch tires on new 17 inch rims.
I notice that the system is a coil-over in front with blocks in the back and traction bars. It looks good. I thought they would have photos on their website, but they are not up because the article is in the current (April) issue.
Once they take a vehicle on as a "Project" it ends up with a lot of upgrades. I expect they will do intake, exhaust, maybe a chip or programmer if one comes out, maybe change the rear shocks, add off-road bumpers or brush bars, a winch, those type of things.
Maybe someone might get them to install the Stillen blower kit????
It'll be interesting to see what they do. And once they and other mags get into it and the manufacturers see the publicity, that means more goodies will be coming out for us.

On the titan I would say Pro comp would get my vote too..It seems Fabtech's quality has dropped significantly recently..I have heard alot of hooror stories with their products and the chevy guys
I have an acquantance who had a Chevy 1/2-ton, around a 1999-2001, with the Fabtech lift. While driving on the freeway an upper ball joint failed causing the wheel and tire to rip off, destroying the front end in the process. Fabtech did nothing to help. I had several minor problems with my lift on my 2001 F-150, and my little sister has had a few herself on her 2003 Chevy 1/2-ton.
The fact that the Pro Comp is a complete bolt on is a definite plus in case you ever change your mind later. I would question whether the Fabtech or CST requires cutting on their 4X4 applications. The CST 2WD application looks like you must cut the driveshaft carrier bearing support to flip the bearing.
One reason I would go with the Pro Comp is because they claim to maintain the factory front track width. Fabtech says that their kit widens the front track width by .5" on each side. Personally, I don't like seeing lifted trucks with the front wheels hanging out farther than the rear. I guess it could be corrected with some rear wheel spacers, but that's just one more thing to have to add.
