I talked to Elias just moments ago at Stillen. Their supercharger is ready! They also have their own rear sway bar ready, he had no explanation why the stuff wasn't on the website....I guess Stillen is gonna beat Nismo to our trucks with hop up parts AND the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty is available on the supercharger. Just wish i wouldnt have paid for the 100K mile warranty with Nissan now

Will have pricing & availabilty later today.
Did he mention whether that warranty was upon delivery/installation? Or is it a separate purchase... Count me in though!!! Any info on some of the specs at all?

Not so fast- I just hung up with Wade Crawford @ Stillen and he says the kit wont be ready till May- that they had a meeting this morning and its not ready. He also says they are looking at about 85HP to the rears with the standard pulley/ but about 100-110FT/lbs more torque, and there will be a smaller diameter pulley for more boost but with limitations (probably 93 octane min)
BTW - I put in the OEM replacement stillen brakes and line kit yesterday - awesome especially consdering the bucks.
Im ready to buy a VK56De and pull it apart and play with porting the heads and see what the guys at Engle would do with the valevtrain-
Ill bet I could get close to 100HP more with some head& cam work and ross custom forged pistons - Anybody know who I can contact to buy a motor? Would Nismo sell one?

Makes sense - I got 550/ 500 HP out of a 406 (400 small block with a small bore job) in my boat- of course I used ported Brodix Track 1's with 2.10 intakes (real monsters) to get there, but in terms of HP per litre I should be able to get close if not better out of a VK series engine
My experience with japanese motors tell me theres ALWAYS Hp left in the stock heads and with some playing around I should get close to 100HP/ litre and I know the things cammed for torque evident by the 305/379 rating.
Im going to buy th stillen kit but after yeras of playing with turbos and blowers on all kinds of vehicles Id really rather spend a bunch of money on headwork/intake and a light reciprocating assembly to make the power- its more expebnsive but will offer greater longevity.
I tow extensively through the so cal arizona dessert and blower/turbo kits if not really carefully designed heat up the intake air to the point of detonation and the VK56 uses cast pistons so you are relly limnited to about 100 hp forced induction gain before going into the short block- dont know about the rods, but the crank probably isnt bulletproof either- everything else / rear end/ tranny should hold another 100/100 fairly well as long as I dont completely wail on it all the time.
Im going to buy the Stillen kit the week its available (they'll actually do some work to make sure the motor will live with the pproper curves etc.)
- but roots blowers have a tendency to screw the fuel/air to the back of their respective manifolds and straight paddle type (b&m-250) dont work at the rpm this motor turns (this is why 6/8/12/14-71) blowers always run dual carb setups with he front carb richer than the backs - Im not ectatic about Blowers in general.
-so Im going to take the old fashioned approach and build in the horsepower the expensive way with lots of head work and expensive components - Ill do the work, but I need some contacts to buy the raw parts.

I'm getting about that kind of gain with the wet nitrous system I have now. I think there is a lot of power to be had in that motor, but I'll bet it is mega $$ to get it there. This isn't a small block Chevy, after all. The crank should handle just about anything but (if it was me) I'd be looking into rods and definitely pistons. But I'm curious to see what the numbers look like with the supercharger on a titan with a real timeslip. Hey if it's better I'd look into getting one too. But for that kind of gain for the $$ it looks like I may just stick to what I have.

Sounds pretty cool head !- never thought about juice in this rig, but that'll waker er up when you hit it for sure-!
( although I wouldnt use it to yank a 7500 pound boat up a hill).
I think your right about the $$ though- But Ive got the $$ (at risk of sounding like a jerk) what I dont have is a VK56 formula for how to apply it.
I figure Ill spend about 5K+ on the stillen blower (polished) & headers/ exhaust after install- I have a feeling the exhaust valves will run really hot if you dont do headers, and youll get a few more beans in any case. (blown motors LOVE advance and run hot on the exhaust side anyway)
a custom crank (maybe we'll see when I dig in you may be right) really light rods, (usually go with oliver) forged pistons (ross or venolia -ross is a bit easier to get custom out of), and serious head (I use Gromm) work'll cost 5-7 easy for the same 100/100 gain- but I'd rather drop bigger dough on a real nice worked piece instead of forced induction- its just that I cant find anyone who really knows these motors so Im on my own here.
Im sure 100/hp litre isnt out of the question and I'd be happy with that.
