off road addition? Power window?

I have a 2004 titan 4x4 with big tow but no off road package. Does anyone know if this package can be added and what does it include? I also would like to add the power rear window, anyone know if that is possible?

Off Road

Ebtate,

I think that I may be off on this because the package seems to have changed from 04 to 05 but the Off Road includes
Axle, 3.357 Ratio
Lights, Front Fog
Shock Absorbers, Rancho
Skid Plate, Lower Radiator
Skid Plate, Transfer Case
Tires, P285/70R17 All-Terrain Radial B.F. Goodrich OWL
Wheels, 17-inch Seven-Spoke Aluminum Alloy

Seems all of that is fairly easy to get installed (axle ratio may be an issue but I don't know how important that is to you.)

Some folks on the forum aren't too happy with their shocks. Bilsteins are a great alternative.

I have unfortunately put my skid plates to good use so I'd get those. The 05's as I understand have the wiring for the fog lights already installed?

Don't know about the power rear window. I'd hold off on that until the word is out that it's functioning all right.

Show us what you got!

Mike

You have the same axle ratios as the O/R package, you could purchase the skid plates, and buy some off-road tires as you see fit.

DO NOT buy the factory Rancho shocks, not worth it, you will just have to sit tight like many of us, and wait for a decent shock for the frt. If you want to take off the rear shocks, measure the extended/collapsed lengths, and cross-over a Bilstein that will fit. No saying the valveing will be perfect, but I'm sure better then stock.

One thing you might not be able to add is the electronic locking rear differential, (E-LOCKŪ). Since you have '04 BT you probably have VDC, and they are not compatible. The early build OR did not offer E-LOCKŪ either, and since you have BT, you would end up with a similar pkg. since you have the same gear ratios, as loufish pointed out.

Seems to me that the VDC disable switch could be wired in parallel with an after-market E-locker switch and should eliminate any compatibility issue. Just a thought, maybe someone with more experience could comment.

In other words when you engage your after-market E-locker you are also disabling your VDC with one switch.
