exhaust question

maybe i'm dumb but i don't know much about exhaust, i know that your gaining hp because there's less back pressure or something like that but i was wondering if someone could help me out in making a choice. I've seen so many brands on here... flowmaster, magnaflow, gibson, banks, borla, b&b etc. and it seems as though it can range quite a bit in price. obviously all will perform better then stock, but is there really any difference between gibson duals, and borla duals... there's like a 400 price difference... is it really worth it? or is it just a sound difference that people like... basically if i can't notice a difference why bother, but i do want to get the best if its actually worth it... also is there really a huge benefit of having true dual exhaust? how much performance increase could there be? thanks guys. I know the answers can be found here most likely but i've read so many exhaust threads in the past and there are so many to root through...

you sound like you just are interested in the performance aspect. if that's it, get banks or gibson depending on the look you want. juma

I am no exhaust expert ot even close but reading will help. I ordered the Gibson Dual Sport for mine. I, as you, have read many exhuast threads on here. I just based my decision on what I had read and some help from QUIKWHIP. You can look at it this way too, I read that Jetech has Gibson pipes and Borla muffler. So mixing and matching, from what I understand, is okay to do.

Jetech has Borla muffler and Gibson pipes? I thought I was the only one with this setup.
