1/4 mile, 0-60, HP and Torque! Give or take

The day finally came, had free time on my hands and the roads were dry. I received the G-Tech SS as a X-mas present and today it finally went to use.

First off, before I continue on, I know there are a lot of speculation and skepticism about the measuring device. I understand that, I don't believe it to be 100% accurate. There are a lot of controlling factors that can screw things up a bit. The most accurate measurements are still done at the Track.

But the G-Tech surely will give an acceptable indication of the range, of what the vehicle's times will be, if ran at the track.

On this particular run, the road wasn't flat. It had a slightly declining slope and the stretch was a little short. It curved to the right at the end of the road. From start, I just Floored it and could hear the tires spinning before it caught on. Obviously the slope (slightly downhill) had a big influence on the times.

On the Second run. I found a road that actually went slightly uphill towards the end of the stretch. And again, this one was a little short. It curved to the right at the very end of the straight away.

The launch method used this time was, 1/2-3/4 throttle then once it got going, I floored it. I had to let off the gas pedal about 4/5 through because the road curved. Today was the first time, I really floored it from stop to almost 100 mph. What a rush...

*P.S. check out the new SS step bars. Received them on Friday (3/11) and installed them on Saturday 3/12.

How do these things work? Do they have built in GPS to gauge the speed and distances traveled? Their web site does not say squat as far as how the thing actually works.

I would say they are fairly close to what others are seeing. If you want to get a more accurate measurement, find a fairly level straight piece of road and do a run, then run the opposite way on the same stretch of road, and finally average the two runs. This should give you a closer measurement of the trucks performance. When you start to mod it, do the same thing on the same stretch of road for a good comparison. The only difference would be the weather.

That's a good question Mike.

The only other affordable unit that I'm aware of is the Beltronics. I believe it's based off of the same technology...http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/...04/vector_fx2/

Thanks for the post and pics fellowx.

I still have the old school version. I plan on getting the RR as soon as I can.
I've been going a little crazy lately with my Titan. Just got the new exhaust and a toneau cover.

How many pounds are you inputing for your Titan? I use 5,100 lbs when I do the HP test. I've averaged around 270 rwhp.

Mike

I saw on a website that the XE KC was 4990 lbs. So I added myself, the step bars, the tonneau and fuel. I inputted 5300 lbs.. Those were my first runs with the G. Next time, they'll get better.. can't wait for the weekend..
