Loudest Exhaust?

Hey guys, new Titan owner here.

I've been hiding for a while and just taking in all the information that I could before I started posting.

First, I'd just like to send my condolences to Chris' family, they're in my thoughts and prayers through this tough time in their life.

I was wondering what you guys and gals think is the loudest exhaust for the Titan? I read that the dual Flowmaster 50 series is pretty loud, sadly no one around here is modding their Titans.

I listened to alot of clips on here, I was just wondering your opinions.

Thanks.

- Spike

If you want loud, then the Flowmaster 40's will do the trick, but be prepared for a lot of in-cab drone. The 50's still drone, although less, and the 70 (what I have) will drone the least out of the Flows, anyway. I had the AeroTurbine muff and reso before the Flowmaster kit and loved the sound, but got quite a bit of drone until I swapped the reso with a Magnaflow SS model. If you want really loud, and a muff that will outlast your truck, check into the AeroTurbine w/o a reso! There's a sound pic I posted a while back with an Excursion owner running this setup......sounds mean, but too much for my (and my neighbors) taste!

Tons of options, just search and read till your eyes go numb.....there's lots of posts, sound and vid clips here to help you make a choice. Good luck...

I've heard the Banks and a custom Flowmaster 40 Series on Titans. I felt the Flowmaster was louder. Both should turn heads but the Flowmaster 40 will piss off more neighbors.

I would go with the Flowmaster 70 series and install a set of cut outs. You will then have the best of both worlds.

I had true dual (2" pipe) with flowmasters and didn't think it was all that loud. Plus everyone I talked to was running at least 2.25" pipe, so I switched to the 2.25" and tried a set of magnaflow 5x8x14 mufflers. That made the truck ALOT quieter and worse, I felt a loss in low end torque, although now when I'm running down the interstate at 80 mph and punch it, it is quite impressive. So the way I see it, it's a trade between top end HP and low end torque. Don't get me wrong, I can still smoke the tires most anytime I want to, but I could tell some difference in the low end after I opened it up to 2.25. So, in an effort to get my torque and volume back, I'll soon be going to a single in/dual out flowmaster. I figure my truck will need the low end torque a hell of a lot more than it will need to take off on the interstate!!!

I was goofin around the other day and unhooked both collectors and slid my exhuast back 3". At idle its about like set of flows, but blip the go pedal at all and watch the heads turn. Got it out on the highway and opened it up!!!
I sure wish I could leave it like that....I can hear the officer now...My son loves it.

I heard another TT member's truck with dual glasspacks. I also expected it to be very loud, but it wasn't. Flowmaster 40 is louder with more of a harsher hollow sound.

other than just straight collector, the loudest ive heard is what i have which is true duals with glass packs. its louder outside than all flow's including the 40's and 50's, the banks and all the gibson's. the in cab sound isnt louder, but outside the cab(bystander) is louder and meaner. the only thing that is louder than this is just straight up collector, which i ran for about a month. but if you want to talk (actually shout) to any passenger, than you better have atleast some sort of exit pipe, weather its collector routed out the back, or a really free flowing muffler like the glass packs or cherry bombs(something of these styles)....oh yea, and no drone at all.
