The 4x4s has 4 cats while the 4x2s have 2 cats and 2 resonators which are basically straight thru mini-mufflers. On the Titan the reso pipes neck down to 1.5" which severely resticts exhaust flow.
Sammy, you are correct. I did put in the Dynomax bullet resonators.
Here is a pic of the factory resonator and also one with 2.5" pipes and the dynomax bullets.
and the resos dont got any sensors in them right? OK, and if we take off the resos...Im wondering bout smell...well I get a gas smell FROM THE TRUCK...lol...like will it raise emisions coming out or do this not help with emissions and only the cats do that?? Ive been puttin it off cuz I dont wanna get an old truck/car smell from the exhaust...Ive mentioned before bout my WS6 smelling real bad like gas and stuff...if I stood behind it it was like I was on a motorcycle and u could smell the oil and gas real bad...
You're thinking of catalytic convertors. Resonators are just miniture mufflers.
So we just cut the resonators off and in the place just add tubing form the muffler shop? What about warranty?
The resonators are bolted in you just unbolt and preplace pipe. You can always bolt back on. No problems with warranty.

Too many mods to list PM me I'll tell ya.
Resonators are usually like small mufflers but commonly without packing. m appears to have replaced his reso's with straightpipes and added Dynomax Bullets after the fact.
I did this a while ago and it rips. Do it already!

so what would be the point of doing the dynomax instead of just putin regular pipe?

The resonators kill a lot of the rasp that is present with straight pipes. Trust me, if you dont put the Bullets in there at first, you will down the road.
and where do you get te extra pipe? Im guessing unbolt resos then weld new new pipe in. Sounds like an awesome mod.
You could probably go about getting test pipes in a few different ways. I just took my truck to my local guy and had him cut/ weld away. You could also probably just take the stock pieces to a quality exhaust shop and have them replicate the stock pieces with new tubing and bullet mufflers.

the rasp being like that high kinda pitched scratchy noise? like right now with my flow I got real deep low growls...
