Volant, Gibson Dual Sport, And Flex-a-lite Installed!!!!!!!

well guys i finally recieved all my goodies and got around to installing them this weekend without a whole lot of trouble. the fans were a pain in my a$$. i was fabricating mounting brackets for a while and taking beer brakes accordingly . the volant install was pretty easy but i did have to bend the the bracket thats on the abs pump to get the bolt to line up for the volant box. the gibson was pretty straight forward and easy to install. ok now my review of these mods

flex-a- lite fans, the stock fan was pretty heavy but seems that nissan did a good job with the set up. the fans are dual 13.5 inch fans with a 4600 cfm rating. the fan came with a variable speed control that varies speed with temperature and really does a great job. the fans cycle about every 1-3 minutes and only cycle for about 25 seconds before they shut down. with the fans installed it does seems to rev quicker and pull harder to red line. hopefully i will get a little better gas mileage to. the fans came from summit racing and cost about $300

VOLANT INTAKE, well all i can say is this thing sucks the air . i mean it sounds like an old olds big block with a four barrell carb on it. you can definately tell its pulling more air and looks good doing it. i had no fittment problems with the volant itself but did have to bend a bracket that held the factory air box in place to get the volant box to mount. the volant came from socalmotorsports from the groupbuy for $243

GIBSON DUAL SPORT, i opted for the stainless steel version and the fit, finish and quality was great. i had no fitment problems and the install was fairly easy. the sound though is awsome it has a nice low rumble and zero drone that i can tell but as others have noted it did have some intial raspiness but subsided after my test run . the exhaust really opened the truck up as it pulls all the the way to red line without hesitation and seems to rev quicker also. the gibson came from socalmotorsports from the group buy for $540

ok now i did not reset the battery but i can already tell the mods did make a difference and all products were of good quality. i have some pics of the fan and volant install and will get pics of the gibson as it was dark when i completed the install. hope this can be of some help.

Looks good got_titan.

Is the Flex-a-lite a specific fit design for the Titan? I know they make some specific fit designs, such as for the F-150. Thanks!

well the install was fairly easy but the mounting brackets held me up for a while. in all i guess i spent about 3 1/2 hours but i was taking beer brakes and in general taking my time. i could do it in 2 hours or less if i had to do it again

Did you just notch the fan mount for the radiator hose, or was there more modifications?
