Talking Jim Wolf Goodies!!!

Is there any thing in the works for the Nissan Titan????

Hi John,
We are in the process of designing and manufacturing of our upcoming JWT Pop Charger air intake filter system.

We are working on development of ECU upgrades on some of the later model Nissans and the Titan might be one in the future. It will be unlikely we will do a TCM upgrade but is not entirely out of the question.

Sign up on our home page to our e-mail list then we can send you an e-mail as soon as something becomes available for your Titan.

Best regards,

FYI, if you don't know JWT very well, they have been saying that for the last 5 years.

They won't come out with a ECU upgrade anytime soon or the near future. They just want to keep you interested. They haven't made a ecu for any Nissans since 1997.

But it's JWT !!

I had the 350Z before my Titan and I will say this...that Pop Charger is AWESOME.

I had it on my Z....it was the first real intake for the Z that actually produced consistent HP results. It beat the Nismo version CAI, the AEM, all of the $300.00 intakes were beaten by it.

Beast305 is right about the ECU, they won'y touch it, but you know who will?

Another 350Z group - well they actually ECU a bunch of cars: Technosquare.

To date they are still the best solution for the 350Z ECU. I went to their website and they are actually looking for Titan ECU's so they can start production on one.

I was really debating on which CAI to get for my Titan, but knowing that JWT is going to come out w/ a Pop Charger for it. There is no question, I'll wait for them to come out with it.

In the meantime here's the link for TS and the ECU. Hopefully one of our members live close by and they can get theirs done for free for helping TS and the rest of us out. I will probably do a seperate post to make sure it gets more publicity.

Anyway, here's the link for TS:

http://www.technosquareinc.com/new.htm

Scroll down to where it says,

"New Application release schedule (listed by priority)"

As you can see we (Titan's) are #2 on the priority list !!

Hi everyone, I live in north orange county (15min from technosquare in torrance) I'm actually good friends with howard, the head tuner there, does anyone know if he's still poking around for someone with a titan? my 05 2WD SE is bone-stock and it would be good for baselining; I also have a dyno at my disposal so we could even find out the gains as well.

My God man - RUN !!

Run don't walk and get in touch w/ them.

The salesaguy who did the ppwk for my truck is kind of a "good ol' boy" and he was watching them develop this truck - had all kinds of good stories about it and so on. The one I like the best is how before they finished they had to "de-tune" the engine b/c they felt it had too much power for the market. That's why almost up until release date they were just saying it had 300+ HP. He said there is a "ton of power hiding in that engine".

I would love to find it !! I bet it is in that ECU. Sooo by all means RUN don't walk to TS and give them a chance at your truck and ECU. I'm sure if it's there, they will find it.

Mid-Summer for the Technosquare release; at least that's what Brian told me in his email response a couple days ago. I believe they have their test Titan, they just haven't updated their site since Nov '04. According to Head, who has had more communication w/ them than me, it will be pretty limited as far as features....just a basic reflash--no programmer. This is a major bummer, as many of us have been hoping for much more than this offering from Technosquare. Maybe Head will chime in here to give you the details.

Any word on power?

I know they usually only do flash programming, but any word on how much power can be released?

Email from JWT that I received today....

Dear Dan,

Thanks for your interest in JWT products. JWT is slowly working on new products for the Titan/Armada models. The first part to become available in the near future will be the JWT Pop Charger intake filter set-up. Other products that are foreseen in the future are camshafts and potentially down the road ECU upgrades. Keep an eye on our web site from time to time and sign up on our e-mail list on our home page to get new update e-mailed to you about products for your model

-Hopefully soon, at least for the intake. Of course they've been saying that for nearly a year now-

Jwt

I had a JWT pop charger years ago on my 96 Nissan SER and it made a huge differance the sound was amazing I also used his clutch setup. All products worked perfect as described. I remember some guy named Clarke that worked for JWT is the person who did all their ecu programing I am not sure if he is still there but He has done great nissan work in the past.

Just talked to Brian at TS a minute ago. He said they're working on the Titan and a release date should be available in 1-2 months from now. So, either it will be available in 1-2 months, or an announcement will be made then. Who knows...

Not to sound like a dumba$$, but what is the difference in this and other intakes?

Everyone has commented on how "awesome" they are, but I didnt see anyone say what would make this better than the AEM Brute Force?

I had a JWT intake on my 350z and loved it. Many folks had their cars dyno'd and the JWT intake which, by the way is not a cold-air design, beat AEM, K & N, etc. You name it, I've yet to see better real-life dyno slips than those of JWT.

Now to be fair, JWT hasn't made anything for our truck. But they do manufacture higher quality products than most offer for a given vehicle (i.e., intake, cams, valve springs, clutch, etc).

And no, I ain't getting a dime from JWT. I just happen to believe they manufacture great parts, aftermarket parts Nissan's. Check out the web for reviews of their products.

Hopefully, soon, they come around to making more products for the Titan.

Thanks-
Dbo
