Mine is the G-Tech Pro Competition, which I believe is the last model before the RR - very similar. I'm happy with it. Bought it new, on line from the mfg. about 10 or 11 months ago.

thanks, i saw the RR on ebay. i think it was $299.00. to me that seems like the nicest one, but i'm not familiar with the g-techs. does anyone use cheaper models or are they just crap.

I like mine...it's a first generation. This has been discussed to great length here. All I can say is that everyone that has brought up running this thing at the track had real close results with the G-tech as far as time (ET) and in some cases the speed was a little high on the G-Tech with older models. Read the links below and come to your own conclusions.

I'm going to get the RR soon. That seems pretty nice. Road & Track did a review on accelerometers and the G got a good write up. Here's some links:

I have the SS version. I think it's the SS, it retails for $199.00 and I love it. The only problem is finding a smooth long and quite road to test on and not in view of the policeman. I've tested a lot of vehicles and the times seems to be correct.

Here is a jpg file with a "snapshot" of two runs made in my Armada back on April 2. The software with mine lets you download the data to your computer and generate charts, graphs, and compaisions. These two runs were made in opposite directions on the same straight, flat blacktop surface.

I'm still having trouble adjusting font size on my computer to match the boxes in the program, but it is legible. Note that horsepower and torque are lower than chassis dyno runs. I think there are reasons for this. What do you guys think?
