Banks pros and cons please!

Hi there.....I have the opportunity to get a Banks for just the price of install. Someone has it I know that thinks its too loud.

Question.....those that have it....are you sorry you got it?
Question.....does anyone tow with the Banks?
Question.....does it traveling any distance with it get hard to take?

Thanks guys/gals!

Not sorry I got it, I'm glad.
I don't tow (yet).
It's not much louder than stock at cruising speed, so no, it's not hard to take on long runs.

I love it soooooooo much.

I get nothing but positive remarks about it.

I towed a trailer once and it was just like normal cruising.

And you can never get tired of the sound haha

i don't tow. so far, longest non-stop drive has been about 40 minutes. i like it a lot because it restored some of the oomph the truck lost after i lifted it and added 35s. not sure if it matters, but i run mine without the tip (cleaner lines) and the sound is ok for me. i like it and my radio is usually turned up anyways. not too loud driving normally but the sound is always there (i guess the nature of the engine). it's badass when you stomp on it though!!! since the cost is only the price of the install, i say go for it and see for yourself. maybe someone close by can offer a test drive, but if you are ever up my way in the SGV...

There was a huge thread on the Banks when it first came out. I'm not sure if they ever showed any performance benefit on a dyno.

I love the full throttle sound. Some drone at 1600-1800 RPM. Take off the tip to tone down the crusing noise level. Tip removal does not affect full throttle sound though.

I sent someone I work with to buy a Titan. They got the Banks with their truck....special package thing they had I guess.
He uses his truck as an office and by the end of the day, he has a headache.
So, I offered to trade him my stock for his Banks. He said cool, as long as I pay for the switch install.
Cool deal....I guess if I end up not liking it I can do the same here for some locals, right?

I'm getting a great deal, and its going on Friday morning!!

Thanks for the tips, guys! I'll let you know how it comes out!

Don't regret. Tow light loads from time to time and it's not a problem. I got rid of the big tip and put an elbow on mine (looks almost stock) due to the noise sometimes getting on my nerves. It'll give about 8-9hp to the wheels on a stock titan.

I got the Banks through the group buy a few months ago and I love the sound, but the tip was a little too big for me (plus I was getting some drone). I had the end chopped off and some SS piping added to the end to put on the 3.5" SS Gibson tip...Sounds awesome and I like the look a little more too...
