Well it was hot today. It was reading 97-100 degrees on my rearview mirror thing. The fans were on when sitting in traffic (which was a lot today) and I'm guessing they were at about 60-70%. The A/C still blew cold, the volt meter was a little lower than normal, but nothing drastic, and the temp gauge was at the same old place its always at.
I have them set to 180 degrees and I'm going to switch the setting to 195 and see how they do with that.
All in all, the two fans work great. I have no doubts with the hotter outside temps the mechanical clutch fan would be locking up a lot to provide cooling.

I have the stock elec. fan and it ran a good bit this weekend. It gets a little annoying after a while.
I tried electric fans a while back on my supra. But all it did was cause it to slowly start to overheat when pushed hard. Also the parastatic drag is just moved from the fan to the alternator. It takes the same amount of engine power to power the fans as it does to spin the fan/clutch assy. Where you can find gains though is if you can turn the fans off for short runs. I could never find an electric fan that could move enough air to keep my sup running at the proper temp. Did make a noticable difference at low rpm where the fan clutch would be at full lock though. I also liked the ability to keep the fan running after the engine is shut down. It does work the alternator pretty hard though, probably not as much of an issue with a new truck vs. the 16 year old original alternator I have in my supra.
