Wife wants to race me/ Who would win?

Well, she doesn't really want to race, but she did ask me what the results would be if we did. And, after driving her car around for the past couple of days (a buddy needed to borrow my truck) I don't know who would win.

She drives a 2004 Grand Prix GT, 4 door, automatic (don't think they make a 2-door anymore,or a 5 speed).

This is NOT the supercharged GTP model, but I will tell you what....this car is pretty quick! I was surprised. I mean I drove it before but I never really got on it much.

Anyway, to answer her question as to which vehicle would win, I just said... "It would be close." (Actually I think the Pontiac MIGHT win??)

I know in MOTOR TREND mag they usually have all the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for all/most of the newer cars/trucks out there, but I couldn't find it on line.

Anyone know?

I know if I raced my wife, she'd win. Doesn't matter if I was driving a Ferrari and she was riding a Vespa... she'd win.

You have two choices in life:
You can stay single and be miserable,
or get married and wish you were dead.

Like I said...She really DOESN'T want to race......just curious about which car is quicker. And I would never race my wife. I don't like the thought of her driving too fast. Add the fact that we have a 8 month old son now I definately would not race her as our boy would be in one of our vehicles, more than likely.

Also, I have been married for 7 years. Is that long enough??

That has to be a time for a GTP. There is no way a NA 3.8 is doing a 6.5 0-60!!!
If you look above the GTP's are right around that time.

thats for the GTP model, GT's are higher, not sure exactly what but guessing 7.5-8 0-60, not sure about 1/4mile prolly mid to slow 16's i had a 99 gtp and my bro had a 99 GT and it wasn't even close.

Yes, I agree. That time (6.5) has to be the GTP.

But the question remains.....'04 Grand Prix GT or '04 Crew 4x4 Titan??

After driving my wifes car again today I am almost convinced that her car would beat my truck. I know it's a 3.8 but it is quick. I think Pontiac is putting a V8 as an optionin the Grand Prix's next year.
