Question need an idea

hey guys, sorry this probly isnt perf. related but i need to borrow your brains, i use my titan to transport my quad alot, i just got on of those tri-fold ramps, and because of the bed height of the titan, the ramp angle is very steep, hard to get up and stop without killing myself, so... is there an easy way to temp. lower the bed of the truck without spending alot?

thanks

If possible, maybe you can back the truck up to a hill, so the ramp goes from the hill to the truck, and won't be so steep.

try to sell your ramps and buy a set thats longer. This will decreace the angle getting into your truck a little bit.

I have the same problem and usually look for a spot that is not level. The next time I load, I am going to fasten a block & tackle to the front tie down rail and pull it up instead of driving.

thats not a bad idea, maybe even a small electric winch.....

might be able to mount an atv winch in the bed

Be careful. You might exceed the load limit of one cleat. If you do it, maybe use two cleats spread apart a few feet on the rail with a V shaped chain or cable to spread the load. Or maybe better yet, use the two permanant corner bed ties with a V shaped chain or cable. The fixed points are pretty beafy.

many of the loading ramps are little more than 5.5 ft long. Look for one thats around 6.5 to 7ft

Check the following url:

www.discountramps.com

They have many different styles of ramps, one might serve you well.

Also, if you get an ATV winch, why not mount it on the ATV so you could use it in the field as well as to winch your scoot into the truck bed?

You could also run an extension cord to the ATV from the Titan's power socket in the bed, if yours is so equiped.
