I Did The Burnout Mod Today On My 07 And I Didnt See A Differance At All. I Did A Lot Of Reading On How To Do It, And Everything Seems To Be Correct According To How The Directions Were, But Yes No Difference. I Was Wondering If Anyone Knows Why This Is Or If There Is A Certain Switch To Use? I Splice Into The Red Wire With The White Stripe On It From The Bottom Plug On The Ecm.

the burnout mod step by step i looked up said red wire with white stripe thru it. not to sound completely dumb but i know it makes it easier to do a burnout, but how? like when the brake is applies does the throttle only open so far and when you flip the switch off it goes to wot?

Short answer, Yes, the TB goes WOT when the switch is flipped. DB told me the wiring is different on the 07 thats why the red & black wire needs to be cut. I cut the wrong wire the first time i did the BOM on my 04. Hope this helps.
I have no idea why someone would want to hold the brake and force the rear tire to turn. Add some mods and you'll smokem without adding any brake.

I like to heat up my DRs at the track a little more so I know they will hook up a little bit better.
Ok, that makes sense in your situation.

I have no idea why someone would want to hold the brake and force the rear tire to turn. Add some mods and you'll smokem without adding any brake.
1. Adding mods cost money.
2. This is free.
3. Very fun if you like that sort of thing.
4. Getting the tires warmed up .
5. Preparing a pair of stock tires to run @ the strip by getting them almost slick.
6. Because a "true" performance machine should be able to do it!
Bad Side:
1. Possibility of faulty wiring, causing tail lights not to function or truck go into gear.
2. Tampering with a safety feature.
3. Selling the vehicle later.
Bottom plug......red with black runner possibly. Thats what it is on my 04. Could be different on your model though. DO a search and see what you come up with if it isnt those colors.
ok I think I got it the R/B wire on the brake pedal is where you splice in the switch
yes....it's on the BOTTOM plug. Just make sure it's the bottom plug.....yo ucant miss it and you cant go wrong if you start there. peel enuff wire loom away to be able to see good and work around.
