Volant CAI fitting issues

Well i got my Volant in last week and installed it over the weekend and it seemed a little to short ( tube going into the Air box ) so i managed to adjust as much as i can but the Filter came off after the first time of driving it.
Reinstalled the filter after wiping it down real well where it attaches to the tube but after really getting on the throttle yesterday it came off again.
i just appears that the tube from the TB might be too short it is about 1 inch away from the air box it self so there is a gap under the rubber boot of 1 inch which leave you very little room to install the clamp without it slipping back off
has anyone else had this problem ?

No, everything fit perfectly, no problem with the filter fitting on or coming off. Are you sure everything is mounted correctly. Do you have all of the parts? I have a photo of the entire volant system before install in my photo gallery, take a look at it and make sure you got everything you were supposed to get. Maybe take photos of your install and then we might be able to see if there is a problem.

Well lets try this
I removed the tube from the Throttle body to the air box
i put the tube up against the wall to where the 90 bend was on the floor and put the long back up against the wall and measured it was 19 1/8 of an inch and before removing there was 1" between the end of the tube and the edge of the box it is installed correctly (really only one way to install it ) with the 1" gap the rubber boot and the end of the filter will only slide over the tube 1/2 a inch this is not enough to keep it fro slipping off when you get on the gas heavy ? is everyone else that has a volant does your tube but against the wall of the box or is there a 1" gap ?

Mine didn't go all the way to the box but the lip of the filter comes out of the box far enough to clamp onto the tube without a problem. Haven't had any issues with it since installation.

This is exactly how my Volant is installed. In fact, the clamp that holds the filter is located outside the box. See my links below my sig for some photos and you'll know what we are talking about.
