Gains from Volant and fans

I think this went by mostly un-noticed because I just posted the dyno sheets on the sticky. However, it showed a gain of 18hp at the wheels with the addition of the Volant box (no ram air scoop) and the electric fans. I should also mention that by the time they got the run in, the fans were already running (so factor in whatever losses you wish from the alternator being loaded down to run them at about 20-30%).
You'll also notice that the torque dropped from the last runs but I think that is due to the fact they started the run at such a late RPM that it was out of the peak range (4500 rpm).
And with the nitrous it showed a more realistic number than before - 50hp, which is what I have it jetted for.

I bought a Ni-Trex nozzle for my setup. It sprays at a 70 degree angle and a couple of people that frequent the track gained 0.2 sec with the same jetting over a standard 90 degree nozzle.

Other than that, I am about to get the Hellwig rear anti-sway bar. After that I'm thinking bigger brakes, or a Unichip, or a direct port nitrous kit since these stock intakes (I believe) are not that great at flowing a nitrous/fuel mix since it was really designed to just flow air. It'd also be ensuring that each cylinder is getting the same nitrous.

I also have a big crack on my windshield that is beginning to annoy me so that's in the near future as well.

Will you get the Unichip if it doesn't remove the speed limiter?

It does not remove the speed limiter. That's why I haven't bought it yet. I just can't see the expense for it just to change fuel curves and some timing. It would help my nitrous but I'm still thinking I'll wait until there is something else out. I could care less if Nissan sees that I have reprogrammed anything so warranty is the least of my concerns for the drivetrain.

$285 for the kit off Ebay (used)
$30 in fittings I needed
$35 for a stock Nissan fuel line and o-rings.
$60 for a mechanical fuel pressure gauge and hose
$90 for new solenoids after I burned one out
$120 for a bottle heater
$40 for a NOS soft plume nozzle (it helped a little)
$10 for nozzle nuts to mount it to the Volant tube
$50 for the Ny-Trex nozzle I just bought.
$50 for a nitrous pressure gauge
$20 for a blowdown tube.
$10 for my manual push-button switch
About $80 in varying sizes of jets ( some I will eventually move up to)

So right about $850-$900. I have spent around $400 in refills so far (9 months). I am at the track less these days so my rate of refills has dropped quite a bit.

Ouch! The price for speed. How long does a bottle last you if you go to the track once a week? Where did you mount the bottle? How much is that direct injection system you are thinking about getting?

Think that's expensive, wait for the superchargers to come out.

If I went once a week it would last maybe 2 weeks.

I get about 14 runs off of a bottle. I make about 10 runs on any given night. I don't always use the nitrous; only if it is against someone that will make it a good race (usually). I don't even bother when there is a pure drag car next to me. The bottle is behind the rear passenger seat. Some of the Texas guys will tell you it's hidden pretty well in the truck.

Since I already have the bottle, the kit will run about $600. Jets will be about $60 for what I want to do (more later on). And if I don't mount it myself, it will be at least another $200. I'm also going to buy another intake manifold to plumb (in case there are any screw-ups) and that's about $150.
