Hypertec news!

I talked to the boys at Hypertech this morning while at the 4 Wheel Parts Truck Fest this morning and they were happy to tell me they have recently acquired both a Titan and an Armada and are beginning work on a tuner. The rep I spoke with said it will probably be their new HyperPac, not the Power Programmer. So don't go buying that (overpriced) Unichip just yet!

Great news! Timeline? What's the difference between the Hyperpac and the Power Programmer?

Thanks

I don't remember exactly what he said about timeline...they were either shooting for the end of September or the end of the year. I talked to so many people I don't remember exactly who said what.

Oh, as far as the differences between the HyperPac and Power Programmer go the HyperPac is much more capable, but is twice the price ($800 vs $400). You may want to check out their website for the most accurate info.

Good news that they are finally taking this on. But if they're just now getting started, could be up to a year, maybe longer before it hits. Hope I'm wrong. I've heard the Nissan programming is one tough hombre to crack. This will be so much better than the Unichip, that's for sure. I may have to forego the headers, and just save my pennies for the Hypertech.

Considering the 05 GTO, Fords, and Mazdas also use a CAN system and there are programmers for those - I think this is just a lack of anyone wanting to do it. If it takes them a year I'll probably wind-up with the overpriced Unichip first.
