How do I install the rear 1" blocks?

My PRG kit came with instructions for the front part but nothing on the rear. It'e probably so simple no one even needs instructions for it.

But I'm not sure. Do I put it right in the middle or what? Or will I know what to do once I actually take of the wheels and look at it all?

(i just got the kit about 10 minutes ago)

There should be some marker writing on it pointing to the front. There's only one way to put it on once you figure that out. The center pin on the spring pack will fit in the recessed hole on one side of the block. The bolt on the other side will fit into the spring perch.

Here are instructions I received from Greg in regards to installing the rear blocks:

for the rear blocks, here's the condensed version. No need to lift the truck or take the tires off.

1.) Start by unbolting the lower shock mounts, let them just hang there.

2.) Next, loosen one side u-bolts and take off; the truck will just sit there.

3.) Then use a floor jack and lift the side of the truck you are working-on from under the frame (use a piece of wood and lift from in-front of the tire). You will need to lift it enough that the spring will raise above the axle enough to put the block in.

4.) Once up there, slide the block in, the pin will locate in the hole in the spring perch on the axle, lower the jack a little until the spring sits on the block. You may have to rock the tire back and forth or use a prybar to make the spring pin fall into the hole on the block. It will pop in with a small clunk, its obvious when it happens.

5.) Lower that side down and put the new u-bolts on, be sure to keep an eye on your sensor wires, tighten the u-bolts to about 80 ft pounds (or about the same as the stock ones you took off).

6.) Now do the other side. (2-5)

7.) When you are done with both sides, re-attach the lower shock mounts and double-check the u-bolts, you are done.

Here is another variation of instructions that I received from JetTech. It's awesome on how Greg and JT are always eager to help.

- As far as the rear blocks go, you need to support the rear of the truck using jack stands. Do you have 2 of them I hope??

- Jack the rear of the truck up just forward of the jack point (little arrow) on the frame, then set your jack stand at the arrow on the frame with the tires about 2" off the ground. Do this to both sides. Remove both rear tires to give you the necessary room to lower the rear diff once the shocks are removed and the U-bolts.

- Put your jack under the rear diff and jack it up just a little so you know the weight of the rear diff is supported with the jack.

- Remove the lower shock bolts on each side.

- Then remove the 4 nuts on each side that go to the factory U-Bolts.

- Lower the rear diff using your jack slowly, and just enough to slide the blocks in between the springs and axle. There's a little bolt head sticking out of the blocks that will go downwards into the hole into the axle mount pad, you can't miss it. Raise the rear diff using your jack so it snugs the blocks against the axle pad and springs.

- Then install the new U-Bolts, which will go over the factory rubber bump stop on the top. Reinstall the factory lower axle plate over the U-Bolts and install the supplied washers and nuts. Tighten them evenly until they are very snug. Then torque them to 80ft/lbs. If you've done it right you should see the same amount of threads sticking out beyond the nuts, which of course means that you tightened them down evenly.

- Install your tires and lower the truck and you're done!!!

- Take if for a ride over some railroad tracks or good bumps. Then when you get back re-torque the U-Bolt nuts again just to make sure they didn't loosen up.

- Pat yourself on the back and have a beer!! It's really easy, and once you're done you'll be an expert at it....

No you don't need a spring compressor for the PRG kit, it simply bolts to the top of the strut.
