"chip" question, i'm new to this. no mods but want MANY
I own a 04 Nissan Titan, the 5.6. I want to put this "chip" that will mess with the ecu or computer and change certain settings like shirfting gears, more airflow, etc... I dont know what brands are out and I have money. I really want to make it move a little better, but I can't add stuff thats going to void my warranty. Most of the stuff like bolt ons I can remove. Feel me? All help is appreciated. Please email me at dxtc2go@aol.com thanks.
The only one available at this time is by Unichip and runs about $800. I don't think anyone has one yet. Hypertech is said to have one coming soon (HyperPAC). Price will be about the same. Good luck!
Oh, I want that HyperPAC. I watched Two Guys Garage the other day. They had a walkthru of HyperTech's facility and featured the HyperPAC. I had drool running down my chin.

So there isn't a chip avaialble yet out on the market?? Supposely Hypertech is what i'm looking for but : its not out?? All help is appreciated. I really want to get my vehicle going.
I've thought about removing the Apex'1 S-AFC(super airflow computer) out of my supra and throwing it in the titan then have it tuned with a wide band o2 sensor on the dyno. Its just that my supra will run pig rich without it. Can't play with shift points but not that I think the titan really needs it. Leaning out the fuel mixture safely will find nice gains and the s-afc makes this possible. I'm just afraid that since the titan is equipped with wide band o2 sensors that it will recompensate back to factory fuel ratio's since it would have that ability.

When I put mine on the dyno, my AFR was perfect (12.8-13.0). I dont think there is much to be gained in that area, until you are able to change the spark curve.

Well that pretty much answers my question. I guess you can contribute the nice a/f ratio's to the wide band o2's, at least the 2 $300+ sensors are doing something. I'm sure the titans wide band sensors are one of its secrets to success. Ah I'd sure like to have a wideband in my sup, no need for a dyno.

I hear you. I am pretty surprised it uses widebands. I wonder if we can hook up a AF guage to them? Like one of these:
