New Rear Diff cover!

Dudes,

I took the beast in for a oil change and tire rotation, and they noticed a leak on the left side of the diff cover. I have pointed this out on no less than 5 times before. I guess they were in a good mood, I got the new cover and fluid!

Good Job. I was supposed to get the new cover but the rep called upon my dealer the night before.. said no deal. He stated that the cover wasn't part of the failure problems and wouldn't replace it if it wasn't damaged. I ended up getting the cover, bolts, and braket for $87... I'm ok with that.

Your cover must have been a bit rusty as you can't buy a replacement steel cover any longer. Was it?

So did you actually loosen the bolts, or just wipe some oil on the diff cover?

While getting an oil change, I pointed out the baked and rusty cover on mine and got the whole rear diff replaced. It only took 2 days for them to get it. Now that's service.
