My first dyno ever!!!

Well, that was a lot of fun!! I love the sound of my truck when it gets above 4000 RPM and hits 6000 RPM.

I got to see a lot of great cars. Most of them were SRT-4's but there were a few others.

So my truck did great. We tested 3 times but the first one was in 3rd gear but it shifted on its own to 4th when it hit around 5000 RPM so the first run showed 172hp @ 243 torque at the wheels.

The next 2 runs were in 2nd gear only.

Run 2 = 262.64hp @ 313.43 torque

Run 3 = 258.70hp @ 310.40 torque

So all in all the truck did exactly what Nissan says it will.
I did not gain much in HP or torque over stock with the dual exhaust but what it did do is kept it real smooth as you can see in the print out.

I love this truck and it does what it has promised. Now if I can only get a good
Super Charger (LOL)

I believe 3rd gear will produce better numbers. You should be able to stay in 3rd for the dyno run.

We tried, believe me we tried. We even manually shifted from 1-2-3 then when the RPM got way up (around 5K) it shifted into 4th on its own.

The machanic said that 3rd would not make much difference in the numbers. The numbers we got out of 2nd were right on the money.

Wait so even if you put into 3rd at the start it would still shift? Somethings not right mine doesn't and its not supposed to.

Go out on the hwy. put it by #3 at a stop, it should go 1-2-3 then bounce off the rev limiter. If it doesn't somethings fishy in the ocean, because mine will hold 3rd

All things being relative to where you live....what is a ball park figure for a dyno testing? I know of a shop not two blocks from my workplace that I discovered on titantalk site. There is a list of shops around the country that have dynos.... thanks.

I got into a group buy with a bunch of guys from the sister SRT forum of TitanTalk. Normally it runs $79.00 but the group only had to pay $39.00.

It was done by Modacar in Livermore, CA.

Thanks, since I drew jury duty to start on the first day of my vacation, figured I might have to hang around town Day 1.
As far as jury duty--if found guilty, just hang 'em....

My truck was dyno'd in 3rd, and it stayed in 3rd. The numbers were higher in 3rd compared to 2nd.
