I see lots of threads on exhaust, chips, headers, etc., but havent seen anything on what we used to consider as the best way to increase horsepower, Cams, porting and polishing, balancing, etc. With CARB in Calif we're limited to what we can do externally, but I imagine that there's lots of potential with reasonably priced internal mods. Has anyone tried anything that they are willing to share ?
I hate to even venture a guess as to how much dough a set of 4 of them babies will go for!?!
Ya, I imagine that they'll be expensive, but can you imagine what some internal work would do for this engine? I have the banks cat back exhaust with an X pipe and an Air Hog drop in filter, but would love to chip the engine and maybe have it ported and polished with some nice cams.
I commute about 35 miles each way on a two lane semi mountain road every day, and it's really nice when two or three vehicles are backed up behind a semi and are too timid to pass. I very politely put on my blinker and then hit the gas, and all they see is a big white beast going by at a high rate of speed. Damn, I love this truck.
How exactly do you have an X pipe and the Bank's exhaust? I was under the impression that it was a single-in/single-out system.
sorry, my bad, I have the Flowmaster, not the Banks. I used the post that someone put on here about 6 months ago and took it to the local truck accessaries place (Dentoni's) and gave them the information and they did the rest.
I'll keep watching this thread to see what comes up about the new cams. But then I'll need to find someplace that can do the porting and polishing and can installation, as I'm no mechanic, I just like my truck.

Hey, Stan:
When you find this out share the info with me. I might want to do this too!

Never argue with idiots. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

my brother's speedshop has their own cams custom ground but he doesn't exactly want to try tuning four cams on the Titan, lol. But I'd like to hear more info like everyone else on what Jim Wolf is developing.
