do any of you have this

hey guys just wanted to know if any of you heard this in your titans.i have a 70 series fl master.it sounds great while normal driving.but if i gun it while driving the fl master sounds like crap.like rattles inside.or if i'm dead stop on park and reb it really loud it sounds the same.the muffler shop had it on the lift and had some one reb it and its the fl master.the guy told me that the fl master after a while the walls/placks inside rattle at high accelaration.i was thinking of changing the flo with another muffler thats made diffrent inside.any advice what i should replace it with.i love the sound of the flo so i would like something equal in sound.even a little louder would be fine but not lower.do any of you have that sound problem.i just heard a clip from a tt member.he's racing a honda or something and when he guns it at the end it sound like my truck.it in the active topics.

Never heard this, but I'll take a guess based on the way Flowmasters are built... They have a bunch of "ramps" welded into them that direct the exhaust. I think the welds on one of these has broken and is vibrating/rattling when the exhaust is really flowing hard. I think your boy is jerking you around because he doesn't want to eat the cost of a replacement.

the one you heard was probably mine in the cut-out thread mine sounded like that due to straight pipes. from what I know you are just hearing the backpressure sorta popping correct? even my magnaflow does it kind of when I get on it.

I had the same sound with the Flow 70. It is the Endurance motor that's loud. I swapped it out with a large body Magnaflow and don't hear it anymore.

oh reallythats good to hear.did it change the sound at all.or is the sound better.i just got off the phone with flowmaster and they told me if its in the 1 year warrantee to take it to the shop i instaled it and they replace it for free.but problem with that is i dont want it to happen again.im just assuming whats wrong with it buy the sound but there may be nothing wrong with it .that may be the way all 70 series sound in our truck.so if i go with magnaflow how do i tell the shop guy.that i want the large body magnaflow.i take it there are different magnalow out there im i wrong on this

Yes, but you will be back to that raspy sounding exhaust. Listen on Magnaflow's site. There's a clip of the Titan with the smaller muffler.

Yup, I just call it raspy sounding! You get this sound when you're at high rpm or when you step on it, right?
