Another electric fan update

Well with the 98 degree temps and humidity in between 90-100% I figured I'd give the latest e-fan update. I have only had one hiccup with the system and that was at the track. I think I just left it on "manually" too long and the controller shut them off for about an hour. Other than that I have had no problems. The A/C still works very well when sitting in traffic. I haven't noticed any changes on the temp gauge, even when sitting still. Naturally they come on rather quickly when at a stop but they still don't crank but maybe 60% when sitting still and running continuously. I'm guessing at the duty cycle of 60% since they run at 50% whenever the A/C compressor kicks on and I can tell they are spinning a little faster than that in stop-and-go traffic with the A/C and everything blasting. But it is by no means 100% (I've run jumpers just to see what that is like and it's a long way from that). We've also been drenched with rain the last week and I haven't had any shorts or anything else of that nature go wrong with them. I have not towed anything in this heat yet.

I haven't searched the other threads yet, but I saw you online so..question...What hp is this worth? under 5-10? What does it cost and what model should I look at for '05?

The Head, your elec. fan was not a 'bolt-on' kit right? This was something you made to fit? Dual fans if I remember... any "jury-rigging" of the shroud to fit over radiator?

It's two 14" fans with the metal blades. I had to custom make a bracket and shrouds for it. I went with a DC Controls unit for the controller. I think flex-a-lite makes a dual fan unit now.

Dunno about the power gains. I dynoed after the e-fans and Volant CAI and got about 18hp to the wheels with the two mods.
