What to get with $6000?

Well I finally got a job, the pay is ok but the hours are awsome. I only work four hours a day. Not bad. But after taxes and all that good stuff I will be left with $6000 as of this time next year. (If the pay stays the same, it can only get better..im hoping) Anyway, I guess this is the $6000 question.

The fact of a supercharger is resting in the back of my mind. But thats a pretty big deal.

So I was thinking, maybe you guys could come up with a list of what you would want done on your truck for $6000 or less. Here are some things I would not want, no stereo upgrades the stock one is fine, no body kits, grilles, grille gaurds roll pans ect, no interior mods.

And as for what I was thinking with the money... a PRG leveling kit with some larger rims and tires, and anything and everything performance. That's what I needed some help on. I am not to familar with what is out for the Titan and what would be best. So help with performance modifications would be awsome.

Or, I could just invest to money into a good looking mutual fund.... who knows.

Let me know you you think, thanks!

if you have any debt, that is what i would recommend you spending your money on....or maybe you could pay down debt w/ half and still have some fun w/ 3k.....i know its not what you wanted to hear as far as suggestions go, but you asked.....paying off debt is the least fun way of spending money but you will be ahead in the end.....

I would say get a CAI for like (250-300), get a good cat back exhaust (500 and up), and the PRG leveler (200). My math say you have 5 grand left to pay off debt or invest in the future. That is what I would do. If you wanted to go a little more high end with the PRG stuff you could go with his rear shock replacement and front coil overs. I think those with the new rear leafs are running over 2 grand.

I live with my parents, so I have no debt. But thanks for the sugestions. Investing sounds more and more like a better idea.

Dude you can't live with them forever so invest for when they kick you out.
J/K spend a little of it on your truck, buy or do something nice for your parents and just save the rest. Never know when you're gonna need it.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't blow it all on the truck... invest some of it now. You'll be glad you did later.

Invest it...$6k now with 11% earnings (that's what my 401k is earning) over 30 years with an additional investment of only $2k a year would = $535,000 at the end of the time period, 46 years old...easy money

Start investing now and retire at 50 a millionaire by today's standards. Just systematically invest in a Roth IRA, etc. in an aggressive asset allocation mutual fund. Done. No secret.

Haha, spend that money, and be like me and 22 and still at home. I've managed to spend my way through well over 60 grand over the last 4 years and have nothing to show for it. Wait, I have a truck that I still owe money on!!!! These guys are right, invest that dough. I would love to be able to buy a house. If I had 6 grand, though, I'd probably trade in my Tundra for my Titan. That's the next thing on my list. Ok, I did pay for my way through 3 years at the county college, and got an associates degree. (Yeah, overachiever here, 3 years for a 2 year degree.... )

Be wise my friend, be wise.
