I have read quite a bit on both upgrades but find it hard to find a clear answer on if anyone has positive result with these two used together. If anyone has this setup I would love to know before spending the cash what they liked and disliked about them and if the gains were worth it. Was it just power or did anyone see and mpg improvement as well. Thanks ahead of time for imput .

Thought I'd reply since I'm kind of close to your combo. I'm running the Gibson Swept Side with the K&N 77. Performance and sound...well it just plain out makes the truck more fun to drive. As for MPG improvement, I have gone through three and half tanks since the install and have to say I see improvement. My gas light usually comes on around 350 and it's been coming on at around 375, 380, 368. I've been monitoring and will keep record for the next 3 months, but I guess I can prematurely say yes, I see an improvement.

It's weird, I kind of told myself to bite the bullet and knew my first few tanks would be lower on mileage due to me flooring it with the newest toy add-ons but those are the actual numbers I'm getting. I know the everything is going to break in sometime and have a feeling that after a few months the mileage improvement might turn out to be very minimal to none but I'm just hoping things stay as they are. I'm getting back into the habit of now laying of the gas a bit now after having some fun with the usual jack rabbit starts at stoplights and flooring it on straight-aways.

I don't know how you guys do it. I'm lucky to get 300 miles on a full tank, and I'm pretty easy on the truck.
Me too. The most i got ever was 310 miles ,with the gas light on for 15-20 miles

Man, what's wrong with you guys...? On my bone stock (Engine Mod Wise) Titan LE (4x4) I get at least 360 out of the tank on regular gas and this is a combination of city/highway driving. I think on the norm I see 368, now I too plan to buy a aem intake and a xtreme gibson when I get a chance, so we'll see if we see a difference.
wth? I get around 285 and the light comes on to refill. I usually ride the light till 300 or so and fill it up and it takes 20 gallons?
how are you guys getting 350+????
Hey Sticky.
If I remember right, the Titan has a 28 gallon tank. So if you are filling it up with close to 300 miles and it only takes 20 gallons to fill that would leave you with just about 8 gallons and lets say at the average you are getting 15mpg that would give you another 120 miles add to your 285!
So really it is possible to get around 400 miles per tank. And the 15mpg is low for highway , I'm getting close to 20 on a good day on the highway.

I get between 12-13 mpg on average. I typically fill-up after 300 miles and add 24-25 gallons to the tank. I'm not complaining, I'm used to it. My F-150 got the same, and so did my old '89 Toyota 4Runner. Just wondering how you guys do it!
Does anyone have the intake exhaust combo that started this thread? Just wondering.

I'm averaging 16.5 miles per gallon with the Stillen Dual Straight Exhaust and K&N 77 Polished Auminum Mod Kit. My fuel light comes on any where from 355-375 and normally takes approximately 21-22.7 gallons to fill up. I haven't run the truck any longer to see if I could get around another 70-90 miles on the gas remaining to see if the truck actually is a 28 gallon tank, anyone tried this?

Believe it or not, I started noticing good things with the BANKS exhaust system. Power increased and gas use decreased. The Air raid CAI was noticed with crisper throttle response, some more power and even more gas savings. I then put the AIR Raid TBS and again felt better throttle response with noticeable low and mid range power and even more gas savings. I experimented even more by with 87, 89 & 91 octane gasoline and found that I get the most milage by using the 89 octane. When I feel like skweezing it, (installed NX system 2nd day I had truck) I mix the 91 & 89 and that seems to get good milage too. I am constantly nailing the thing and I think that it does really good on gas. I feel sorry for the people driving around with the HEMI Dodge Ram. That piece of Sh*t went through a full tank in two days! Long live the Titan!
