Question Calling SmokespeedTitan

Just wondering if you have installed the DMH electric exhaust cutouts yet. I am interested in how it will sound/perform.

Thanks!

ya therse was only one problem, i couldnt puth them before the resonators, because it would void my warranty ,and also since it was so close to the o2 sensor it would not be good for the engine is what the muffler shop guy told me. insteade i put it right be for the muffler, and amazingly it souds really good, its no comparison to stock. it scares ever one that i go by, i drove by my friends at full throtle and he said his ears hurt so thats a good sign, also at start up and idle its not very obnoxious its got a little grumble to it but not a lot

Thanx for the reply. Did you only put one of them on? Also, please post a sound clip or video of your Titan if you can. I am dying to hear what this sounds like!

my exhuast with the cutout open basically sounds like the one in havocks website where he takes of the muffler and just runs the cats and resos.

Thanx. I was debating on getting these or not. Yesterday I had a local shop install a glasspack exhaust system similar to the one GR8Titan has on his website (usantonio.com). I can not believe how it turned out! This baby sounds MEAN! I will try to post clips asap.

Well I decided to do this a different way as I loved havin straight pipes for 3 months I decided I will use the extra exhaust tube and flang the end of my pipes and instal a flanged section in front of my muffler so I can just swap them out when I have to tow something and since this is rare its a easier and cheaper way for me instead of buying the electric cutouts.

so i dont under stand did you get an exhaust cut out but not an electric one?
its so much easier just flicking a switch in the cab rather than taking off that flaming hot cover that goes on the end (if you drove it before hand)

no cutout at all I will be puttin a flanged section in front of my muffler so I can unbolt it after my h-pipe and then bolt on a few spare pieces of tubing I have laying around. The reason for this is if I had cutouts they would always be open as I did have straight pipes for about 3 months so I figure ill just put the pipes back on and when I need a muffler to tone it done for towing ill swap it out. yes its a little more work but it wont be done that often

that works just as good it will sound the same as mine i know you will be happy, anytime i take it over 3000 rpm everyone around looks. im very happy with it. i plan to take the 2 resonators off and then outing my exhaust before the wheels on each side with just the cats and maybe some small mufflers but i will bypass those with my cutouts
