Borla

Got the Borla on.
Impressions:
1 It is as close to True dual you can get without 2 mufflers 2 in (no Y Y Pipe here)and 2 out and you can see straight throught the muffler and it almost looks like there is a crossover balance in the middle (could be mistake) .

2 Pipe is smaller(2.5"??) than the stock pipes (3"??which are huge).

3 Install was easy and straight forward took me 1hr 45 minutes including removal of my stock system with a buddy to help moving the long pieces. You gott a love those clamps borla uses very neat and effeicient no pipe crimping like traditional muffler clamps(make an easier removal later on??)

4. The muffler is just a big welded can nothing fancy here for Titan owner no embossing, polishing or rolled edges kinda lacking fit and finish but it is 304 SS and guaranteed to last a lifetime. Just a slight disappointment but you know what nobody really see the muffler anyways see next bullet.

5. The Tips rock. Thats all anyone will see as they will be in the rear view of my titan and have these 2 awesome highly polished SS Cannons shooting exhaust noise in their faces quite lound when romping on it.

6. Sound is very civil at idle and normal driving not to lopy or tinny but when you give it a little go juice its really very throaty and you get a very sweet deep growl that lets everybody know you mean busines. The sound seems quieter in the cabin to me than the stock system which I would say is because of the rear exit versus the side exit and distance from the cab but let me tell you when you hear it from the street you can hear that beast's sweet growl very impressive.

I found very little info when looking for the Borla so I bought it based on reputation(My buddy has one on his 2004 Mach 1 Mustang and loved it) Quality and durability(304 SS). I hadn't realized from any pics how close to true duals it really is. I'm really in love with them they look awesome out the back

Looks good but you might consider putting in an X-Pipe to fix the back pressure and throttle response. Do a search on it and you'll find lots of info on the theory. Check out gr8titans web page.

I'm not sure how to make a sound clip?? How do I record it?? How do I make it a computer file. Now I feel a little illiterate on this subject. Any help tips pointers would be greatly apreciated would love to get a clip of my truck posted if I can manage to do it.

The x pipe I thought was used on a hybrid system with a different Borla muffler this one has a crossover built in it.

Glad I didn't have to respond in person to your rebuttal. I would've said "ah, um, don't know" See if some of the exhaust experts like sammy and gr8titan can answer that X-pipe question for you. I bought the dual Borla XPs without a built in cross over. I noticed the lack of back pressure the minute the duals were installed. As soon as the x-pipe was installed, I was cooking like wessin. If you don't notice any considerable lag time between stomping on the pedal and take off your probably okay. In my case, it was very, very noticable. Also felt like the truck had a weird pulsating sensation. Good Luck.
