Jet has been basically dismissed by the Titan community, and they don't seem to be developing it for us any longer. Go with Osiris asap and you'll get a free upgrade to the true programmer they are bringing out soon.

Can you give us more detail on what brand parts you are running to get the performance you have?

What "injectors" , "chip", etc. Doesn't sound like you should be that fast already; not with no exhaust upgrades???

I would like to see what parts you are claiming as well. If ur running an ebay "resister chip" ditch it asap! I find it hard to believe you are running those times without headers and a tune...and if your not 07 or newer Cams.. Im not trying to call BS but look at the drag times. It doesnt fit.
Post up what you got. Crewcab / Kingcab 4x2/4x4 mods, year etc, and well help you meet ur goal. Toomnymods is running a 12.8 with cams and more than you got, and has to run slicks and a 125 shot of juice to get there.

edit. saw you have an 06 like me. Is ur 13.8 a real track time or a performance meter in ur truck you used ( gtech etc)

Re: Drag racing how-to, hints, and tricks thread

I was just wondering....I've got the whole Stillen library of performance goodies including the SC....but under full throttle the transmission freaks out and short shifts. Well....that and the motor bogs until about 30-35 than all hell breakes loose.

Could this have something to do with the open diff....starting to think this all has something to do with the vsc and not having a trutrac holding my truck back.

Well even with the WOT restriction removed you will feel a little increase in power around 40mph depending on tire size gearing etc. Thats just the point where the powerband really takes off.
if your getting a bog it could very well be the open diff. do you see the "slip" light flash on the dash when this happens? If so then it is cutting power to try and get traction. After Trutrac you will never see that nastly light again

Oh also saw you have the blower? Well you do not have wot untill 40 mph then, but thats ok because it will save your trans under boost. I would make sure you are not experiencing detonation though. Get to a dyno or a shop that can monitor. Detonation will cause timming to be pulled and worse case senerio the end of your motor. There have been many cases of this, and every truck need to be tuned differently

Re: Drag racing how-to, hints, and tricks thread

Nope...no detonation....here in Michigan 93 octane is at just about every pump and my fuel mix checks out perfect with the wideband.

Funny you should mention the slip light....that baby comes on for quite some time....the vsc flips out and starts trying to compensate. To bad it's not quick enough to control the slipping wheel...my burnouts look like a staggered dashed line. Just wish I knew someone in Michigan I could trust putting in the Truetrac.

Ya im not too familiar with VDC since my truck doesnt have it. I just here people turning it off or doing a bypass switch or somthing. The slip light i would bet on is the main cause.
The Trutrac is not too difficult if you hav good mechanical skills. follow the directions and dont cut corners. theres a write up somewhere around here

Re: Drag racing how-to, hints, and tricks thread

Well....I've done everything else myself with no issues....kinda wished I knew more about the headers before I installed those....that just sucked.

But I've got a couple lifts and just about every measuring tool you could think of.....what's the part number for the Truetrac anyway ??

If you could find the link for the install it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Drag racing how-to, hints, and tricks thread

No one is perfect for mothers womb, so in order to perform a good driving we need to concentrate what all we do while driving. So there are no special tricks or hints. Practice make a man perfect. There might be a some coach for professionals but it all depends upon how they practice.
