Another nos product

Hey guys was just reading one of my old car mags and found this http://www.tunerschoice.com/xq/aspx/...qx/Product.htm seems that you could use this with a dry system instead of wet and you wouldn't need to drill and tap. I don't know any results of this product just throwing this out incase some of you were wanting to look at other possible nos setups, I would think this way might not be as harmfull as someother setups but not sure. can also see some results here http://www.zex.com/

If the dry setup is done right, I see no reason why this wouldn't work. I don't quite buy the fact that it says you'd get a lot more air into the motor (via a venturi effect, basically) but the delivery should work fine.

That looks like a nifty idea, but it doesn't look like they sell a setup that's large enough for the Titan...at least to me. A 5.6L motor needs at least 102 sq in surface area. The filter neck would need to be able to accomodate a 3" id or 3.5" od intake tube...at least that's what the Volant is. Zex's largest filter setup has a 3" neck, but I'm assuming this is i.d. It looks like you could just use the top portion and retrofit it to a K&N, Volant or whatever cone filter with the same top dimension, though.

I was just throwing to links out there for people that were thinking about a nos set up.I probably wont ever run nos in my truck, maybe a straight drag car I would spray it. Definitly want some F/I for my truck but want to have more than 6psi of boost, so I'll just wait to see how much people will be able to sqeeze out of the Stillen SC. I'll admit if they find a way to run more like 8-10 psi out of it, I would buy the SC pretty damn quick. $6k for 6psi doesnt make me jump too high though.

And it really cleans up marginally. Honest truth is you could buy a used airbox on this board for $50 and always have the piece of mind that your stock one is there for you. Then drill and tap the nozzles into the new box and voila no trouble at all.

BTW I run a dry setup on my Nissan Maxima. They're fine for small shots, but if you plan on moving up to 100+ shot ever, you should consider going wet. Either way you'll probably have to upgrade your fuel pump, possibly injectors with 100+shot, but the wet system is safer when spraying large amounts since you're not relying on the injectors to do the added work for you.
