Any Camshaft upgrades available yet? Or other max-effort NA upgrades?

Are there any ported heads or cams upgrades out there yet? I would think that with a set of ported heads with upgraded valves (30-40rwhp) and upgraded cams (30-70rwhp depending on how radical you go), headers (15-25rwhp), and intake and exhaust (15rwhp between the two), the Titan could see close to 400rwhp in a streetable application with proper tuning (that is if the tuners ever become available.) *Note My numbers are based off those from the LS1 world, because its as close to the 5.6L Endurance as there is with any sort of true aftermarket support.*

But then you'd need an aftermarket torque converter and gear ratio upgrades to take advantage of a higher rpm power band to support such mods. Is any of this stuff looming on the horizon, or are we stuck with forced induction for the foreseeable future?

Thanks!

Jim Wolf Technology has cam blanks in customs right now, hopefully to be delivered soon. The will be developing some mean cams for the Titan. The OEM cams are wimpy, wimpy, wimpy. I would hope within the next 2 months we will have more news on expected power and price. I would expect $1000-1100. There are 4 of them and that would be inline with their other cams.

Can't wait for them puppies to come out from JWT. I'm thinking of going this route along with some long-tubers as a more affordabe option to a SC. Not as much power, but I'd bet the combo would be worth at least 60-80 hp...maybe more?

Please keep us posted on the timeline for the cams. Thanks Greg.

For me I would like to see a cam that just gave me a big punch in torque, without moving my powerband up much. The factory cams are very mild, like Greg said, but I don't want anything non-streetable/tow-with-able if ya know what I mean. Maybe they'll offer two different cam specs.

This is another good news!! Maybe with aggressive cams, ported/polished heads, valve job and headers, the NA Titan may be able to produce power equal to the SC at a similar price or cheaper.

Ehhhhh doubtful (at least not at the same RPM) but it would be nice!

I can honestly say that I wouldn't purchase the Stillen supercharger even if I was just POOPING money. It just isn't really impressive...

Of course if I WERE pooping money, I would have already purchased the F350 6.0 that I was looking at before the Titan

Yeah, this is great news! If we ever get an ECM tuner, you can make very aggressive cam profiles streetable. With a DOHC, you can definitely keep low end grunt while producing some high end horsepower numbers.

Didn't the Titan make around 500HP in development? I wonder if it was emissions or the engine that couldn't handle 500HP?

With aggressive NA mods, 80-120rwhp should be attainable, and that'd put us in the realm of 500 crank HP. With the LS1, head and cam cars can put out near 480-500rwhp with 5.7L and OHV, and still remain streetable. That's in the 575-600HP range, or 100BHP per Litre league. I'm sure the Titan could match this in time given the superior technology behind it.
