Mossy Performance Header Release

We will be releasing the header as we have it now, We have yet to figure out the 1273,1283 MIL light but when we figure it out and we will the option will be made available with the 02 Sims we have yet to see MIL for cat inefficiency.

My mixture is slightly leaner then stock and we have done a power balance test. Cylinders 3&8 are very weak. The techs have seen this on a few other newer Nissans and injectors are bad. We are going to swap out both rails for new injectors to see if that is why it is lean.

So the problem just might be with my truck. The MIL light has not affected performance at all. I hope this is still an attractive product for most of you I know there are a lot of smart people on this list and a $500.00 refund will be done to the 1st person who has a well-documented fix to the MIL light problem we have yet to fix. How’s that sound?

Those codes are for the air fuel 02 sensor bank 1 and 2. Does the light come on right away after you clear them? If so you may have a bad o2 sensor or sensors, possible damage due to movement and removal. Also check the plug and wiring for damage as well. Hope that helps. Vu

So, Chris...did you guys ever nail down a firm price on the headers? Also, will there be a ceramic-coated, mild steel version available? Thanks...

Im in too, once the bugs are worked out. I'd prefer the 304 SS to match my B&B!

Is there a price break for those of us who might be willing to jump on a set early? Another thing is that if I did get a set and put some cats in and the light does not appear, would that count as a "fix"? Yeah I know - it's reaching...
Or...
If a Unichip tuned to the headers with cats got rid of the light, would that count?

How long are the intermediate pipes that connect the header to the y-pipe, flange to flange?

Chris, If I was you, I get a good known set of O2 sensors anyway to rule out that they are still ok. Borrow someone else sensors if you have to.

what kind of test's have you done on the O2 sensor's/corresponding wiring harness's? im assuming everything possible since youve gone to doing a power balance test already. have you tested the conductivity/voltage/resistance of bothl sensors and all wiring harness's? it would be cheaper then buying new sensors to just test their voltage/resistance, cold and hot. as i mentioned before, it could be the placement of the sensors causing the lean code also, have you done tests to see what temp the sensors are reaching? im not sure about nissans ecu, but it could be trowing a CEL much later instead of immediatly because it measures the signals from the sensors over a set period of time/miles and attempts to correct the A/F ratio accordingly. are there absolutly no leaks what so ever like a fellow memeber posted on the other thread, that unichip said that may be the problem? are your O2 sims correctly calibrated? just slightly leaner shouldnt be a problem as long if its just a very minute Slightly which increases power. do you get a CEL with the stock air box? if there wasnt a ocean between us id help you out. boy, if my son hadnt changed his mind and wanting a lift, it would be one of the few times i wished to get a CEL on a new product. gl on finding out the problem.

O2 relocation?

Hey Chris -

Hmmm given that the original location of OEM O2 is reading from 4 cylinder output...Would it make sense that the header primary O2 should be relocated and mounted in the collector on the end?

I looked at the prototype O2 placement and wondered if that placement on the single tube of header relates to the cylinders that you are reading as lean?

I did some searches and have seen Nissan headers with O2 in the collector and also single pipe so maybe my sense makes no sense. Oh well just wanting this to work.

Also dealer replaced B2 O2 w/ 1283 code today..."short in sensor" was the description given.
