IMO, the throttle body spacer isn't all it's cracked up to be. You can get more power gains (for a higher price...) with a CAI like a Volant, aFe, K-N, and now NISMO. Besides, if you go with the spacer, you probably won't be able to fit any of the above mentioned CAIs due to radiator clearance. Airaide does make a high-flow intake that replaces the box and keeps the stock tube so that you could also use their spacer. I haven't done my homework on this one but I think you can get more power for your buck with a CAI from anyone else than you could with the spacer/intake combo from airaide.
Has anyone tried porting the TB yet? I am willing to bet a good porting job that would create a little intake charge swirl would make a decent gain. I know of a guy that does good work cheap but can't lay up my truck.

Before messin with the TB you may want to search on Club Titan for this mod, as i recall he could prove no significant gain but maybe with a computer mod as well, you could get results.

I don't know how throttlebody spacers for EFI engines are even sold in the first place. Spacers were originally made for carb engines because the spacer would increase the size of the fuel/air mixing area under the carb. On an EFI engine, all a spacer is doing is moving the throttlebody further away from the intake manifold, at the best doing nothing, at the worst causing a bit of lag between pushing the gas pedal and having acceleration. Titan1080 is right, save your money for an air intake or catback. TB spacers are just a big waist of money.

Correct. They do nothing. The "swirl" is all BS and snake oil. Intakes do next to nothing as well. We have an air pump. Its called a motor. The motor will only pump air as fast as its slowest point. The intake ain't it, nor the exhaust. What we need is a head job, cams, and a computer upgrade. Then the intake and exhaust start to make sense. The throttle body spacer for a Titan/Armada does serve one purpose: It makes the intake fit poorly.

They're sold because there are people dumb enough to buy them! I bought one for my Z71 because at that time I was dumb too. All it did was make a hissing noise and rough idle. It did not increase power. I am not sure if it helped gas mileage or not. I took it out and launched it on my skeet thrower. I was happy to see it fly away.

Throttle body spacers like this one http://performancenissanparts.com/ca...oducts_id=5545
have been known to work well on the likes of chevy, dodge, and ford trucks.
I have not seen dyno numbers or charts on this one for the Nissan trucks, but do know they work on other Trucks. You can combine this with an intake such as the AEM or K&N as well.
Don't expect to see a large increase with the spacer, but a moddest one can be expected IMO.

I don't want to start a arguement, but it all depends on what vehicle you are talking about when it comes to intakes and exhausts. An exhaust on a truck can gain double digit HP. That is pretty significant IMO. Now i do agree with the comment on the head work, you would gain more if you had the heads done, but most intakes and exhausts are designed for the stock motor, not larger valves and ports, etc...
An example of intakes: for the 350z, no intake really creates more than 5-6 hp, and that is a stretch. The intake system on the 350z is already very efficient to the point where upgrading it DOES help, but not by much. A SVT cobra mustang however has double digit gains in HP and also gains 1lbs of boost according to a few magazine independant dynos. So it's all relative to the vehicle.
An intake and exhaust on the Titan/Armada do help fre up some power, and quite a bit at that.

everyone is not dumb who buys these things. the only people i see dumb are the one who speak before they think!!!!
there is documented proof that this spacer on the titan icreases hp and tq. not much but it does. do a search @ ct for jetech's dyno and see for yourself!!!!!
