Some exhausts have power gains while others loose power depending on how they are engineered. Some exhausts are made just to be loud and obnoxious. You generally get what you pay for but buyer beware and check with what others have installed and commented on to prevent an expensive mistake by buying an exhaust that does't suit your needs.
Exhausts vary greatly in performance, volume, tone/note and price. I would say a good first step would be to find a sound and volume you like by getting with some local Nissan dealers or owners who have installed aftermarket exhausts. there are also sound clips on this sight but nothing beats up close and personal Once you find a brand that is close to the sound that you want, you can narrow it further by checking for performance results and price by searching this sight for something specific like Banks or Borla for example. I personaly bought a Zoomers exhaust because my chief concerns were performance and volume as well as no drone at crusin speed.
