Banks muffler-- anyone replaced it?

I just returned from Mississippi towing a heavy trailer.......I've had it with the drone/noise under load. Yeah Yeah its quiet cruising and off throttle but climbing a grade under load it's bad. I want the y-pipe and 3" pipes, do they make a 3" in/out muffler that will fit. I want a little sound but the Banks made me want to pull over and stick a sock in it. Any one out there done this?

try a few resonators or small mufflers upstream of the banks muffler. Maybe replace the stock secondary cats or resos with the aforementioned.

I may have to. I am hoping to find a replacement muffler that will just replace the straight thru drone king that comes with the system. It's nice looking but I need a can of "drone be gone" to pour in the gas tank!

You may want to try the less drastic/cheaper step of replacing the tip first? If the tip is less conical and sticks out past panels of the truck it should reduce the drone and be less than $50.
