Im a new vendor here and would like to introduce the Weapon*R Secret Weapon Intake system to you guys.
I will have some pictures of the actual intake up very soon.
Im selling the intake with the heat shield for $315 for forum members.
our website is www.advanperformance.com
You can also look at www.weapon-r.com for some of their dyno sheets and video clips they have on their intakes. It's pretty cool.
I think they have had there bad days like any other company but i think they are doing alot in the industry and doing very well.
If you go to their website you will see what i mean and look at the dyno sheets.
They are actually on top of their stuff.
I have their intake and i like it alot.
So im just asking you to keep your negative comments about a company to yourself, because it's comments like that, that deter companies from making parts.
And i see that their technology is pretty good and they have something there with their intakes.
Thier dynos have proven to make more power on a few different cars than other intake companies.
I was stating fact and asking a question as well. Weapon R has been and is still known as the lower end of the import tuner parts segment. AEM, Nismo, Volant, etc all have better names. That is due to the simple fact that they make better parts. I simply wanted to know why we should be interested in this intake over the others for more money. Does it offer something the others don't? Why post something like this without pics or even specs on the intake? Just posting a price and a bad one at that in your first post isn't going to do much to start you off good on this site. If I saw Weapon R intake $199 shipped for Titantalk members I might be a bit interested but when I see Weapon R intake $315 to members I simply laugh.

no offence but this is a forum, all products used or bought by the members of Titan Talk are subject to positive and negitive feedback , thats why we are here , to hear the good and bad , and yes we are all cheap with the dollars so prices must also be very good , good luck but at 315 there are other names I would choose as well

Totally agree. Why would I want to fork out that kid of money for a product that isn't worth it. That's why I depend on readers' comments. Thus why I'm debating the pos and neg of Banks and Gibson exhausts and now considering others due to feedback and costs.

Sorry, man...I really don't want to sound negative about this product, but with statements like this (see below) taken from the product description, it's gonna be tough finding someone to take this kit seriously, especially at $315.
quote:
"This technology increases air volume and speed to the engine, which naturally feeds the engine 3x more air than the conventional air intake system."
Sorry, but that's not even remotely possibe....not even with a SC.

Yeah I checked out the Weapon R site as well and this thing seems like worse crap than they usually make. It seems to be a smaller pipe inside of the intake tube. Yeah that will increase the intake charge alright.

He posted something for sell, if you guys don't like the products don't buy it. It's not right to talk sh!t to him. He didn't make the product, just trying to sell it. Maybe in the near futures he can offer us something else that we like for cheap like a supercharger for $3K.
He is a supporting vendor of this site.

Well, it's the nature of competition... the slow and the weak lose. In this case, we've all seen the intakes available for the Titan. This one is nothing special, and the price is a joke.
"So im just asking you to keep your negative comments about a company to yourself, because it's comments like that, that deter companies from making parts."
Uhhhum... bull****! That was the WRONG thing to tell a large group of (would be) customers. It's comments, good and bad, that HELP companies make BETTER parts.
Bad choice of product to advertise as a new Vendor. Weapon-R not well respected and offering at a high price....then saying people should give negative reviews.
It's nice that you're paying money to support this site but people are very upfront here whether it be good (do a search for PRG lift) or bad (see...welll this item for instance) the board is only a good place to advertise quality products at a competitive price. BS gets shot down very quickly.

Let me try and straighten things out here. My name's Ray Fong, I'm a tech and a part of the R&D team here at Weapon*R. I'm available here to answer any questions and clear up any misconceptions that may occur. I know many of you have a negative image of Weapon*R, and it is understandable why you feel that way given our past problems. I joined this company a little over a year ago, with the job of improving the company's image and quality of products. Things here have changed a lot, and we're making great strides in improving customer satisfaction.
I see here that many of you are wondering what makes our Secret Weapon intake any different than our competitors. The main difference lies within the main intake tube. We have utilized a dual path intake setup to increase the velocity and volume of air entering the engine. The design of this intake is based on the Bernoulli Effect. When air travels through the smaller inner tube, it's velocity is higher than the air traveling through the outer tube area, and a standard intake tube. The smaller tube not only creates a high velocity flow, but it is also a low pressure flow. When the air exits the smaller tube on the throttle body side, it creates a low pressure area in the center of the tube. The low pressure area creates a venturi, or sucking, effect, in which the air from the outer tube is entrained into and total air velocity is increased. This phenomenon has shown to increase low end and midrange power, without sacrificing top end peak horsepower due to piping diameter restrictions.
I understand sometimes that's it can be hard to believe a claim made by a manufacturer, and that a review from a peer consumer holds much more weight. It is because of this that I am inclined to make an offer to any volunteer that can provide an unbiased product review. If you would be interested in installing and testing our intake on your Titan, I can offer the intake at a major discount off the retail price. I would also like to find a volunteer in the San Francisco Bay Area to come and have our intake dynoed. For more information, contact me direct at ray.fong@weapon-r.com
