I honestly think 475 hp and 450 tq is possible out of this motor naturally aspirated with a good intake manifold (the stock one has 22 inch runners!), the right cams, the right headers and tuning.

I intend to prove it shortly as I'm in the process of installing a vk56de in a 240Z! My engine will be run with aftermarket engine management.

R&D is underway and maybe a kit will be available to a select few! We'll see...

Now you have my interest. This is more like what I was saying it should make. Still overpriced by a couple grand, but it now has the power numbers.

I don't see why not. It is basically a 350ci motor. You can get close to that with a GM motor with the right heads, cam, etc.

Yes! and a GOOD DOHC design! This motor will certainly raise some eyebrows with some good R&D

I will share my results when I get closer heh heh heh

The last peice to the equation is to get some cylinder headflow numbers, which is in the works...

Stay tuned

Keep me in the loop as to who you use also. I'm right around the corner in Orlando.

Good point. Just need to watch Ebay and the junkyards for an LS7.

haha....I knew that as soon as the dyno graph was posted many of you would become believers. That graph is much nicer than the one I saw. They must have really spent some time tuning it and getting everything perfect.

Why does a 140 HP supercharger cost as much as a 450 HP complete small block crate motor?

Because, there aren't any 450HP small block crate motors that will fit into a titan. I'm with you on this though. A SC for my vette installed is only 5K. 6k doesn't include installation.

I been drooling over this engine, http://www.shafiroff.com/540_675_engine.asp not bad for a few g's more than the SC you can have it. Anywho to get back on topic if they include the installation into the SC price that would be sweet. What's the numbers at the crank? around 500hp 500+lb-ft?

Judging from what the dyno numbers show 390-395rwhp 410-415rwtq . Take a 21% driveline loss and that comes to 500HP 526lbs-ft of torque at the crank! Pretty impressive in my book. If they were to drop the price a little or include installation for the price that would be fair to both sides. Not to mention the SC looks like top quality.

Don't forget to include a new stand alone engine management system(couple gran), harness(few hundred), mounts (few hundred), trans (few hundred), modified driveline(few hundred), custom exhaust(couple hundred), install time (few weeks).
Many people don't realise the extensive cost of just "dropping in" a different motor and making it work.
Don't forget, no more warranty and Carb or state inspection is out.
