Re: Air Intake Systems [list and poll]

Does anyone know if the S&B cai will fit a 2009 Titan? The website only lists up to 2007. I called S&B and a salesperson told me that if the website doesn't have it, it's not available. Thanks!

Re: Air Intake Systems [list and poll]

Hey Ken,
I went ahead and bought a Volant. I've got about 1000 miles on it and I'm happy. Mileage is up 1 to 2 mpg and the throttle response is sharper. It howls a little on hard acceleration, but it sounds stock the rest of the time. Thanks for the reply!

Does anybody know why the box for the S&B cai doesnt totally cover the opening like the stock box? Kinda bugs me...

Re: Air Intake Systems [list and poll]

I just ordered the Volant Powercore for my 2010. I can't find a website that is listing for the 2010 right now, so hopefully this will fit.

Re: Air Intake Systems [list and poll]

I installed the Volant PowerCore (without the ram scoop) this weekend. It rocks! The intake sounds stock until you put your foot in it. I have the SuperChips Cortex set at 87 Octane with WOT restriction removed and 2 degrees of timing advance. That is the way it was set up before I put the Volant system in and am reporting on the CAI install with the SuperChips already installed.

The Titan has always been a powerful truck (I had a 2004 that I traded in on the 2010), but the SuperChips made a heck of a difference and the Volant really woke the truck up. The intake sound is a nice roar/growl when my foot is in it, but I like the sound. No comment on mpg yet, since I haven't been on any long trips with it yet and can't seem to keep my foot off the accelerator!

My $0.02 is that the Volant PowerCore is worth it. Easy install, quality parts. The only negative I would give it is that the rubber cap that is supposed to cover the ram scoop port is the wrong size. I sent an email to Volant about the wrong part issue and will let you know if they respond.
