Part II - Getting Exhaust - Help!

Same Deal as intake post...also, I'd prefer to keep the sound as close to stock as possible...I don't like loud. I prefer a nice soft rumble (like it has now).

HELP!

Thanks...

If you're wanting quiet, then I would suggest the Zoomers. I haven't heard much on the Stillen or Gibson, but I know the Banks is loud. You'll be hard pressed to find a cat-back system that is as quiet as your OE exhaust.

gibson is rather notorious for having a very mellow tone and good power but if you are going to do it, do it put a 40 series on the beast.

B&B real nice sound, about the same in cab as stock. Kinda pricey but all quality

B&B is pretty pricey, but probably the best one to get for you. The FM 70 cat back is pretty mellow until you get on it and it is a little easier on the wallet. Can't replace that Flowmaster sound. It seems to be more growl and no pops. Just my opinion, I love the sounds of the B&B and Borla exhaust very unique, but they just don't sound like a truck exhaust to me. Again just my opinion, don't mean to offend any one's system, like I said, I love their sound. I just hear a FM muffler and it just sounds "right" for the truck. I guess it is a little hard to explain.

You also need to consider if you are going to do anything else to your truck like headers or SC in the future. If that is the case, you would want to go with something that has 3in tubing throughout or perhaps a custom true dual setup. Case and point, the FM would not be the best choice because it has 2.25in at the top of the Y pipe and a 3in collector going into the muffler.

I say Gibson. It's gonna be the quietest out there with a nice growl at WOT.

Banks with Moroso Spiral Flows

I'm going to follow "the Heads" setup as I think his is not loud. However we will soon find out as I too like a quiter ride. Power & performance with Banks is proven. If and I mean if it's too loud then I might swap banks muffler with flowmaster 70 but I think it will be fine. The Moroso's are additional $100 pair as they will replace the stock resonaters and Jegs got 3" in stock.

Also there is a group buy going on for Banks in the proformance section. Click here:
Banks Group Buy: Mossy Performance
