Hypertech Says they are Definately Giving us a Programmer

I know we've gotten conflicting info from the people at Hypertech, but I believe they will be giving us a programmer. I spoke to them in person at Truck Fest a couple months ago, and they said they have a Titan in their shop.

Here's my email with response I received today:

Subject: Nissan Titan

Response from Hypertech:

Steve,

Sounds like there's hope for us, yet....the question now is, when will it be released....a few months...a year?

Excuse my rookie questions...

So..
like...

a programmer let's you set the computer how you want?
and you can reset it to factory defaults before you go for service?
and then... hopefully, have a way of reprogramming your preferred settings?

Whereas a 'performance chip" is just something you install in place of the factory chip?

Sounds like a great plan to me!!!

Heck, I'd pay for it with a smile on my face. I'll start saving now!

I had the programmer for my Ford Ranger, it would download your stock programming to the unit, while uploading the new programing to the vehs PCM. The Ford had very little to chose from, you could upload a performance program, and a trans shift improver program...that was it for the Ranger.
The same Hyper-Tech unit for the Chevy gave you a lot more choices, including adjusting for tire size/gear changes, and removing the speed limiter...
We'll have to see what HyperTech can actually do.
