Congrats on the fix and I'm glad Stillen has been so much help. I've got a hankerin' to see some video and if yours does well I may just have to take the wife up on her offer for me to get one. I will really be curious to see how yours does over the long haul though and hopefully your motor will do great. Thanks for being the lab rat and may I say that, DUDE YOU ROCK.

I'll be interested to see what the long term reliability is with the Stillen. I would guess that as long as it's installed correctly that everything will be good.

Congratulations............I am jealous too!

Look up the "Magnuson-Moss Warranty act".

I would think it would be fairly easy for Nissan to prove that a SUPERCHARGER causes added strain on the entire drive train and motor and not repair anything as a warranty item in that regard.

Hell, they could even tell you they're not going to replace paint becuase the extra power made it fly off the vehicle!!!

If my Titan was a secondary vehicle I'd slap a Stillen on it in a second!!!

I believe he sent the AFE back because it would not fit properly with his e-fan setup. So I'm not sure if he has his old Volant back on (don't know if he sold it), or if he's got stock or other intake on.

Here's another SC review from a different member over at the other forum who recently installed the Stillen.

"For what its worth here are my initial impressions of the Stillen s/c on my otherwise stock 05 se.

Let me qualify this by saying I have owned two s/c cars roots and cent's. I have owned numerous single and twin turbo vehicles and feel that I am comfortable with operational characteristics of forced inducted applications. I have been building various types of vehicles for 17 years and have no illusions as to what is expected vs. what is realistic.
I state this so you can better understand my take and impressions.

Installation
The kit seems to be well engineered and have acceptable instructions. I think Stillen should include more end user and operational instructions thou. The parts seem to be high quality, but unfortunately the piggy back unit has no apparent adjustment capability. There are a minimal amount of modifications that need to be made to install this unit and should be able to be installed (by a knowledgeable person) in about 16 to 20 wrench hours (barring the inevitable problems). Expect to have some hoses and wiring exposed and not factory looking in the final install. Your engine cover will not be reused after the s/c is installed.

Problems
So far I have had a few bugs. back pressure in my radiator is causing some spewage, the ecu is still a little buggy, but the guys at Stillen say it should go away after about 500 miles, and my main belt has a nice long nick in it. In additional my fuel gauge reads errantly when I switch between A map and B map. Most of these problems are not untypical for this type of install and should be easily fixed

Driving Impressions
The truck is definitely more powerful, but the power seems to not come on until about 3800 rpms. With the automatic this creates a sort of dead spot in the power band between shifts. At highway speeds the story changes, the truck screams from a 60 mph roll and reaches 100 in a surprisingly short period of time. This supercharger very much reminds of the engine characteristics of a j22 or j25 Subaru turbocharged engine, with maybe a little more down low grunt.

Off the line I am a little disappointed. It doesn't seem be as punchy as I was expecting. Actually it seems just marginally more powerful than the n/a engine was. These issues may all be related to the piggybacks learning curve so this information is not conclusive.

The whine of the s/c is barely audible at idle but rapidly increases with the engine rpm. Personally I like it, but it may be loud for some.

I will do a baseline dyno in the next few days. After that is complete I will install a new exhaust, intake, rear-end and a few other go fast bits and report on my progress with the dyno and the track.

I will wait till 1000 miles to give any final verdict but for now I have a big dopey grin on my face and cant wait to head home and go hunt some hemi's"

This is the same guy...

"As the driving, it seems that the piggyback is a fast learner. My power band seems to be smoothing out, and I accidentally put on a smoke show this morning pulling out oh my neighborhood. I forget the darn thing was on there and floored it going to the main road. She laid a good 60 feet of rubber before I was able to let off".
