My Titan has a flowmaster 50 suv muffler and is still loud!
 Has anybody replaced the muffler with a piece of 2 1/2 pipie? and if so is it any louder in the truck? Mine sounds great up to about 2800rpm then after that it rattles the cab and makes a loud roar!!! i had the 70 series flow and i really liked it. not too loud but still noticable. just a liddle louder than stock cruzing between 65-85. the loudest is between 1500-1800 but its not bad the stock exhaust is very noticable in that range also. the 70 series is long and has lots of deflectors. its about 23 inches long so it had a lot of volume. hope this helps? i wouldnt replace it with a piece of pipe it will be louder with no muffler at all.

Well I think i found uot where the noise is coming from. I also installed a afe stage II cai. Think the noise is the intake sucking air!!!! Not the exhaust.
