exhaust

I just installed the gibson ss exhaust, now I get this rasp sound under hard throttle or accerlation. I have checked all bolts to make sure they were tight. Does anyone know how to get rid of the rasp

It's just the way the muffler sounds. I get the same thing under WOT. That's a drawback of the straight through style muffler.

other than getting rid of the gibson, you will need to deal with that sound.Oh, and the banks kit does not have that raspy sound and it is straight through.

Try added a few Resonators in there. See by the time you do all that and pay for resonators and the labor to put them in to get the exhaust you will be happy with you could have just got something like a Zoomers and saved yourself some time and aggravation, Cmon people. I too was once a cheap asz then I realized that Cheap is not good and Good is not Cheap and now I only buy the best because I know I will never have to buy another one or deal with the time and aggravation of something falling apart and replacing it or not being happy.

Couldn't agree more.

Daaaaaaammmn! Kinda harsh coming from a vendor

Even though I happen to agree.

I HATE buying something twice but being in my early 40's has allowed me to learn that lesson more than a few times and I don't 'go low' any more.

That maybe true but for some of us there was much choice of exhausts when the trucks first came out. It's a risk you take when you can't hear the exhaust first hand.
