Raspy Banks

I've had my monster exhaust installed for about 9 months. I love the sound under normal operation. However, WOT is very raspy. All the connections are good, so what gives? Any help/ideas are appreciated.

Unless you drive at WOT all the time shoul'nd be no big deal right? Try to move the tip out as far as possible, I tried that and made a big difference (tip by SaltyDog).

I understand that a couple of Bank's owners have retro-fitted Zoomers tips with good results.

Is it a direct bolt on? I might do this for everyday driving but if I go out on the town I might want to put the Banks tip back on.

Can someone explain why the tip would cause the rasp?

It's an echo can... I removed mine and went with straight 3" chrome tip.

I also did moroso mufflers in place of stock resonators. See Mossy Banks GB thread last page for tip pics and reso mod. I think I have a deeper tone and guessing about 6-10dB higher in cab but at 70mph it is very comparable to stock.

Where you get your tip from?

I have the Banks on with the Zoomers cannon tip. Mine was raspy at WOT with the old tip. I think it sounds a lot better with the Zoomers tip on. I got it welded at the local Midas.

So if you go with the Zoomers' tip it has to be welded and you can't put the Banks' tip back on?
