DIY Exhaust

Okay, realistically. . . how likely is it that someone with limited mechanical experience or knowledge could install an after market exhaust. Does it have to be welded? Is it possible to do the majority of the install and have someone weld where it needs it. I really think I want the Zoomer's, and I would love to be able to do most, if not all of it myself. Is it realistic for someone like me who just has your basic handtools? What will I need

I can't speak for the Zoomer's, but I'm sure its a simple bolt-on system as well.

Have you ever gone to Wal-Mart and bought a put-together piece of furtiture, you know the kind you had when you were in college? Well, if you can do that, then you can put an aftermarket exhaust on. I did mine (Banks-awesome sound!) with nothing more than a cheap socket set deep wells, of course, a breaker bar and some WD-40. No jacking up the truck, b/c there's planty of room to get under it. That was all it took. Heck, my 9 year old son helped me with putting on some of the hanger clamps and other pieces!

Just follow the directions and in no time (maybe 2 hours) you'll have a new wonderful LOUD toy that the neighbor's will hate you for!

They are easy, it help if you have a set of ramps or even a big hydraulic jack. These system are design to be bolt on.
