Tornado Air Filter Inlet Insert

Has anyone bought one of these yet? Wanted to know if its worth it? 1st pic is of the Tornado Air Filter Inlet. 2nd pic is where its installed on the factory intake. Looks like it will work with an aftermarket intake you just have to get the measurements for your intake.

http://www.tornadoair.com is the website for the Tornado Air Filter Inlet Insert

If it was that simple to improve power and economy don't you think the engineer's for the car companies would have been using them? Waste of money

Someone posted a link to an article that tested these on several cars, it actually decreased mileage and performance. It's just an obstruction to the air flow.

I bought one in the mid 90's, it's in my parent's garage somewhere, if I can find it I'll give it to you.
The new Fujita intake incorporate a "tornado" type thing into their system. Also there was a member over at CT that put one in with his CAI intake but I never found out how well it work for him.

My brother-in-law tried it on his V-10 F250. He couldn't tell any difference.

All the tornado succeeds in doing is draining cash from your wallet. It has been proven to decrease flow.

Oh, no. Not again! Please do a search and you will see what we mean. There's even some info from a Nissan engine plant engineer pointing out that one of those devices lost a fin, got sucked down the intake and resulted in a destroyed engine. I don't know how Nissan handled the warranty, but they would have been justified in denying the claim.

Snake oil. Period.
